ASSIGNMENT 1

QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH

- Create an business and management title consisting of at least three-independent

variables (X) and one-dependent variable (Y)
Explanation of Assignment 1:
1. Conduct the first preliminary research (pre-survey 1) to find problems that occur in an
organization or company or institution. (Practically means looking for Y which is a
problem in an organization or company or institution). For example, WE DO PRE-
SURVEY AT BANK MANDIRI. We find the problem of low employee performance at
Bank Mandiri. The employee's performance is the dependent variable or Y. In preparing
a thesis or dissertation, this Y problem must be supported by data, both quantitative and /
or qualitative data.
2. After we find the main problem, namely Y, scientifically we have to do a literature study
(literature review). For that we must refer to previous research in banking to find
conceptual answers to what causes low Y on BANKING INSTITUTIONS -Research
journal on government offices).
3. For example, based on previous research journals (at least use 50 national and
international journals on BANKING), it can be concluded that the variables that
influence Y are X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, and X7. Then we conduct a pre-survey 2 to
BANK MANDIRI to ensure which of the 7 VARIABLES X affected Y at BANK
MANDIRI..
4. After this second preliminary research (pre-survey 2), for example, we find the fact that
the lack of Y is due to problems with the variables X1, X5, and X7. Remember !!! We
have to get complete data at Bank Mandiri regarding this X1, X5, and X7 data (we call
problem).
5. After that, the next step we have to do is collect previous research journals which states
that each of the X variables affects Y.This means that any influence of variable X (X1,
X5, and X7) on variable Y at Bank Mandiri must be supported by previous research
journals regarding banks which state that the X variables affect Y. At least each variable
X to Y was constructed by 15 previous studies in banking.
- The influence of X1 on Y was constructed by 15 research journals in banking
- The influence of X5 on Y was constructed by 15 research journals in banking
- The influence of X7 on Y was constructed by 15 research journals in banking
6. After that, we can determine the title of our research. In this case the title of our research
is “The influence of X1, X5, and X7 on Y at Bank Mandiri
