When triangle 3 moving with it, while triangle 2 moves in the opposite direction.

b) What type of transformation will take triangle 1 straight to triangle 3?

a) What do you notice about the distance between the mirrors and the distance PQ?
The distance with AE longer than CD.

b) Test your ideas by moving one of the mirrors and repeating this process.
The distance between CD will chanbe but no effect to the distance between AE.

 a) What is the difference between the translations which take the triangle 1 to
triangles 3 and 5?
b) What difference does it make, doing the reflections opposite ways round?
