2. I have watched this theater play during its free streaming in Youtube.
3. I watched it for free.
4. I watched this theater play for entertainment purposes. I’m very happy that I had
a chance to watch it since I’m a big fan of the band Eraserheads.
5. Yes, there were lots of celebrity actors and actresses that have been part of that
play.
6. The genre of the stage play is musical.
7. The theater style that was used in this play is realistic since the storyline of the
play was based on the reality.

So how's the PLAY

12. I’m expecting that this play will be fun to watch since they incorporated the song
of Eraserheads and that this will be sad at the same time because of the title
itself. The song “Ang Huling El Bimbo” has that sad vibes, it feels like you were
reminiscing of the good old days with someone. Honestly, I’m not that satisfied
with the ending because I hate how the character of Joy (the protagonist) was
shown as a stereotyped woman (strong, resilient, kind and forgiving) and she
wasn’t able to get the justice that she deserves while those 3 men Anthony,
Hector and Emman was able to get a redemption by helping Joy’s little girl
Ligaya. But since this play was based on reality this shows how many of the rape
and sexual violence victims were silenced. Also, at the end of the day I feel like I
can never listen to Huwag Kang Matakot, Spoliarium, With A Smile and Ang
Huling El Bimbo like I used to this play gave so much meaning to these songs.
13. I like how the production chose to mirror the reality of rape and sexual violence
what I didn’t like is that they should’ve put a trigger warning.
14. Yes, the scenery is helpful and aesthetically pleasing since it matches the scene
being portrayed.
15. The actors were really convincing in their roles especially Joy, her voice is
amazing and the emotions that she was showing looks really genuine same with
the three actors who portrayed Anthony, Emman and Hector.

Curtain Call

16. I would like to work backstage.

17. I will watch The Wicked.
18. The reason why kissing/intimacy/tragic scenes on stage are more shocking than
those same scenes in TV or Film is because of the emotion the characters
displaying raw and intense compared to a scene that is recorded. The stage
scenes are created live and taken once compared to TV or Film where it is taken
a lot of times to get that one scene. Also, in TV or Film scenes the directors can
mask a lot of their actor’s deficiencies but in the stage scenes, the acting needs
to be flawless for a good show. The vulnerability and authenticity shown in stage
scenes are far better than TV or Film which captures and creates an atmosphere
of emotions amongst the audience.
19. The reason why most of the people my age are not into theater is because of the
continuous change in our society where digital art is rampant and social media
apps and websites are frequently used in today’s time. People at my age are
attracted to things that are less expensive and less consuming of their time. In
which they are hooked up to the things that are more convenient for them. As a
result, people at my age have become distracted by the barrage of demands on
their time and attention. In which TV, Facebook, Snapchat, Netflix, Twitter,
homework, sports, clubs, jobs, etc. Seeing live theater usually takes a back seat.
Also, It can be incorporated into the idea that a lot of people do not understand
what theater is. They think of it as opera or that it is for older people, which it is
not. the continuous diminishing of theater shows can contribute to the lack of
attention and enthusiasm of people at my age. Nowadays people settle for the
things that make their life easy that technology makes possible. The lack of
information and promotions about the different theaters contributes to the lack of
understanding about it. It can easily say that there are ads in the paper and
posters, but the social media presence is lacking. Where younger audiences are
looking, there is simply not enough exposure for theater shows.
