How to live to be 100

Smythe, a woman who has lived to be 100.
Alice Patterson-Smythe was born in 1907. This loving elderly woman 2
ambulances in the First World War, and worked as a school secretary until she retired.
She is a widow and has three children, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She smoked quite a lot when she was young but she gave up at 78 3 she had a
heart attack. Nowadays, the only time that loving Alice visits her doctor is to get a
certificate to say that she 4 still drive her car. She says: “I love life. I play golf 5
a week and do Latin American dancing, and I eat lots of fruit and vegetables, but I don’t
want to live forever. We are a long-lived family. My mother was 95 when she died”.
