    Heroes Act: Stimulus Part Two

    Those struggling during the Coronavirus (kr·ow·nuh·vai·ruhs.) pandemic may find a second

    stimulus check on the way soon. Coming on the heels of the C.A.R.E.S. (kehrz) Act, which was

    passed in March. The White House confirmed that they intend to ask the Senate and Congress to

    pass another law for more funding for those effected by the Coronavirus (kr·ow·nuh·vai·ruhs.)

    Congress passed the H.E.R.O.E.S. (he-roes) Act May 15. The Senate is expected to vote on the

    bill in July. This bill will allocate (a·luh·keit) direct payments of at least $1,200 for those

    eligible, paying up to $6,000 per household. Payment amounts will be dependent on several

    criteria, such as age and annual household income. The H.E.R.O.E.S. Act also proposes an

    extension to the current unemployment system, which is set to end July 31. Aj Charlebois, owner

    and founder of A&D Remodeling, and father of four, explained his opinion on the potential of

    the H.E.R.O.E.S. Act.

    Many feel that a second stimulus package could prove instrumental to families, businesses and

    the economy. Those 17 and older will be eligible, providing a much-needed assistance for

    “People tend to spend large sums of money on remodeling their homes when they normally

    couldn't afford it. With unemployment being extended I would still expect to see an increase in

    business going on. I feel a lot of business owners like myself will benefit from either and

    hopefully both.
