Our client is an international company involved in theatre, film, television, video and
concert productions, merchandising, magazine publishing, records and music
publishing.

Prior to implementation of this SugarCRM instance, the licence application and


permissions process was manual and labour intensive.

With the introduction of this slick and sophisticated solution, the process is now mainly
automated with only very high value or anomalous applications requiring intervention.

The SugarCRM solution enables the client to manage the application of licences to
perform shows for which they own the intellectual property rights.
SugarCRM is the business rules and data management powerhouse and a WordPress
website acts as the front-end public facing Portal.
Licence applications are made through a WordPress (open source) website. This passes
the data via the REST API to SugarCRM where all the business logic is held.

A rules and pricing engine calculate if it is appropriate for the licence to be granted and if it
is to be granted, what the cost of the licence is. These rules take into consideration criteria
such as the type of group requesting the license and the territory they are in.

Once the costs have been calculated the User is presented with a Quotation that they can
save, accept or decline.

Sophisticated workflow drives the user process and collects staged payments before
opening areas of the WordPress site for licence documents and associated collateral.
SugaCRM has been transformed into a powerful rules engine, licence cost calculator and
cash collector.
The client has now moved from protecting the brand to exploiting it.
