Judaism is an amazing religion filled with a rich history that has changed their
culture and society. Their beliefs have influenced their way of life. From their laws, rules
and regulations, to how they eat on a certain day and what they consume. The Jews are
deeply rooted in their religion, it dictates their day to day lives and their interactions with
God and other people.
The biggest takeaway from Judaism for me was that they live their lives following
Tzedakah which means “righteousness and fairness” in Hebrew but is generally
translated as “charity”. Jews believe that giving to those in need is not generosity, but it is
simply the right thing to do. I believe that this can help me be a better version of myself
because oftentimes, giving is seen as an act of charity or generosity because there are
other people who are watching. For me, giving should be done whether or not someone is
watching. Ultimately, the purpose of giving is to help people in need.
