Dear Sir/ Ma’am:

I am writing to confirm that I have met Stalin Jonathan Llanillo Bucaneg sometime in November
2016 when my niece, Geraldine S. Bucaneg, introduced him to me through videocall. Since then,
we often see and say Hi to each other during his videocalls with Geraldine, I have seen how they
stayed strong despite the distance that separates them.

I personally met him on December 25, 2018 when he had his first vacation in the Philippines. I
find him polite, humble, thoughtful and family-oriented young man. I just knew then why he
won my niece’s heart. After their marriage last October 20, 2020, they went home here in our
Barangay for some time. During their stay here, they did not forget to drop by in our house to say
Hi and I witnessed how they genuinely love and care for each other. They were inseparable, they
make the most of every time they were together.

As her Auntie, I always desire for the niece’s happiness and that is to be with his one true love,
Stalin Jonathan.

Yours truly,

Maribel Salgado

Dear Sir/ Ma’am:

I am Stalin Jonathan Llanillo Bucaneg (sponsor) I am writing this letter to support my wife,
Geraldine Salgado Bucaneg (applicant), in her application to come and live with me here in
Canada.

I first saw her last January 5, 2013 at a convenience store near the University where I was
enrolled as a second year Information Technology student and she was taking up Bachelor of
Science in Tourism Management. She was with her classmates, one of them happens to be my
high school friend. I asked her friend for her number and I immediately texted her to introduce
myself. From that day onwards, we have been talking daily.

I courted her for months until she officially became my girlfriend on September 16, 2013. I can
say that the relationship we had together was not easy, we have been through a lot of trials and
challenges but the love that we have for each other is greater than any obstacle that came and
may come our way.

The greatest trial that our relationship went through was when I went here in Canada last
November 30, 2017. Our relationship was tested by distance since I am in here Canada and she
was in the Philippines. It was never easy for the both of us, but we remained strong. We became
even more faithful to each other. The distance between us made our relationship even stronger. I
was amazed by the faithfulness, understanding and trust she gave me, by then I already knew that
she was the woman I want to marry and spend the rest of my life with.

Family is such an important factor to me. I witnessed how family oriented and responsible
person she is, a rare kind of quality you could find in this generation, cater with religiousness, a
woman who has faith in God. She as well established a close relationship with my whole family
especially with my mother.

For seven years of being together, we mutually decided to proceed with the marriage. Despite the
COVID-19 Pandemic I went on a vacation in the Philippines last September 12, 2020, for our
marriage. We talked to families who were very supportive and were involved in the wedding
planning. We had our intimate wedding October 20, 2020.

But the hardest part must come. With just 16 days of being married, I need to leave her and be
back here in Canada. The moment I stepped inside the airport, the heavy feeling in my heart
never went away.

The pleasure of waking up together everyday, the hugs, the random kisses, the chance for us to
take care of each other when one gets sick and just the feeling of being together, I really wish
and pray for that. Most especially during this time of Pandemic where it is impossible for me to
have a vacation in the Philippines. I need my wife to be here so we could start building our own
family, which we always plan and dream of. I need my wife to be right by my side.

It is very much appreciated rendering your time reading my letter. Thank you.

Respectfully yours,

Stalin Jonathan Llanillo Bucaneg
