Assessment Task 1.
To submit:
In an A4 size paper,
Procedure:
1. Write an email invitation discussing human resources needs and strategies which should include
date, time, duration and purpose.
2. Review the scenario information and the company’s Strategic and Operational Plan (Appendix
1) and develop a briefing report addressing the analysis of company’s strategic priorities and
relationship to human resources, a PESTLE analysis identifying the factors affecting human
resources requirements and potential strategies for increasing female representation.
3. Write a script of the meeting with Boutique Build Australia Management and contractors,
discussing the purpose of the meeting, the briefing report, their feedback and recommendations
for human resource requirements.
4. Using the Action Plan Template, develop a 12-month human resource plan which includes your
research and analysis of the briefing report, clear strategies and actions, roles, responsibilities
and timeline as agreed upon the human resource requirements.
5. Write an email to the Managing Director to introduce, summarise and seek feedback on your
action plan.
6. Revise your action plan based on the feedback from the Managing Director.
7. Provide a screenshot showing all your folders and documents for this work. All documents
submitted on this assessment task should be properly named and filed.
Assessment Task 2.
To submit:
In an A4 size paper,
Procedure:
1. Using the Service Level Agreement Template, develop a service level agreement that includes
purpose, responsibilities of managers and human resource team and monitoring and evaluation
arrangements.
2. Write a two-three paragraph memo to the managers who have not achieved their targets. Each
memo should restate the target in the service level agreement, explain which targets have not
been met and the variances from actual to required performance. Also, include actions to
ensure targets are met. **Read item 2 on your assessment task 2 for a more detailed
explanation**
3. Provide a screenshot showing all your folders and documents for this work. All documents
submitted on this assessment task should be properly named and filed.
Assessment Task 3.
To submit:
In an A4 size paper,
Procedure:
1. Write a one-page report on potential work-life balance strategies. This report should include
benefits of these programs, use of these programs in Australian companies and at least 5
samples.
2. Write a script of the staff meeting with Boutique Build Australia Management. This should
discuss the purpose of the meeting and your findings on the team, seek feedback on your
findings, ask for ideas on suitability of work-life balance programs. Using the Meeting Minutes
Template,
3. Develop a social media guideline for the company. At a minimum, this guideline should include
the purpose, definition of social media, scope of the guidelines, breach of the policy and good
social media practice.
