1. In your own words, briefly define the following, and describe how these trends change technology
project management.
 Globalization

Globalization, in my opinion, refers to technological advancements that have a significant economic


impact. Changes in project management are a result of the birth of technology that make the economy
more innovative. The way in which management meets their criteria has changed as a result of extremely
innovative technologies. Technology has become a partner in their efforts to promote and expand their
managerial opportunities. Globalization has also contributed to the expansion of the marketplace in the
business industries, allowing project managers to search for new future opportunities that will benefit
their company.
 Outsourcing

According to what I've learned about outsourcing, it's when a firm agrees to hire someone to give service
to their organization. This type of business technique is being used by some firms to make their
operations easier, cut expenses, and increase efficiency. Competence and experience are required to
ensure that projects are effectively completed. Outsourcing project control will be beneficial since you
will gain access to people who are more skilled and committed to their work, which will be of great
assistance to the firm. The organization will be able to reduce errors and miscommunications, and they
will be able to collaborate with experts in project management.
 Agile project management

Agile thrives in flexible cultures, where team members are quick to adapt if the end result is a more
productive working environment. As far as I can tell, Agile project management is a method of project
management that focuses on smaller, more manageable tasks. Agile project management has altered
project management because it enables management to accomplish work more quickly and adapt to
changing project requirements.

Online Workers
Pandemic is unleashing a new era of change for businesses. Global markets are severely disrupted that’s
why businesses are forced to explore innovations solutions to overcome the growing negative
implications of this crisis. Because of the pandemic, many organizations are shifting to online business or
remote work. Organizations believe that virtual teams set up is more liable on the business industry.
Because of this, companies have further realized that making some of their employees work remotely has
benefits.
 Include any personal experience and your opinion on the topic. For example, what role(s) would you
prefer to play on a team?

Since the pandemic began and individuals have been unable to leave their homes, many businesses have
chosen to allow their employees to work from home. They are concerned about their employees' health,
which is why they are considering sending them into their homes and allowing them to work from home
utilizing internet tools, particularly virtual teams. Because I have never worked, I will use the examples of
people I know especially BPO’s or call center agents who work from home. Because of his safety, my
auntie began working from home since the pandemic began. Working from home, based on my
observations, is more helpful for them. Because of the transit fees and their eating expenses, it decreases
certain financial charges. They were allowed to take a full rest at home before starting work. They are
more motivated to work because they get a decent night's sleep and the support of their family. However,
it has an impact on the health of all employees because it can cause headaches and blurred eyesight.
 Do you like working on virtual teams? If you have not yet worked on one, how do you think it would be
different from working on a face-to-face team?

If I had to work, I would rather work with people in person rather than in virtual teams. Why? Because,
based on my experience with online learning, it is really difficult for me to cope with online learning
because it places a great deal of stress on my mental health. Working in face-to-face groups encourages
me to be more motivated. Seeing my coworkers and maintaining strong communication with them helps
me improve my performance. We are able to express ourselves and convey more knowledge that has the
greatest impact on team innovation through communicating. Unlike online, where there may be an issue,
especially with the internet connection and signals, you were able to ask inquiries without any barriers or
obstacles.
3. Explain the four frames of organizations. How can they help project managers understand the
organizational context for their projects?
 Structural frame

From what I've learned, structural frames refer to how companies are organized and how they focus on
their various tasks and duties in order to achieve their objectives. The structural frame assists project
managers in comprehending the organizational context of their product in terms of each department being
assigned a specific responsibility in order for them to function effectively. The project manager can
utilize a structural frame to divide workloads and distribute work effectively, allowing for a faster
completion of the project.
 Human resources frame

In terms of human resources, it aids employees in developing positive relationships and working
environments. The use of a human resource framework by project managers will assist them in managing
and handling all of their personnel, as well as knowing and providing for each employee's needs. In that
instance, the manager is able to maintain a positive relationship with his or her employees while also
resolving any potential issues.
 Political frame

On political frame, it will help the project management in terms leadership and organizational politics. It
will assist the manager in comprehending the political climate and applying it to the firm. It also aids the
manager in determining who opposes and supports their projects. They'll be able to figure out what the
group's key interests are that will be most influenced by the project's outcome.

 Symbolic frame

Symbolic frame is focused with symbols and their meanings. Understanding an organization's symbolic
frame can help in the creation of a culture that provides work meaning and purpose. The project manager
must recognize that the significance of every event in an organization is more essential than what
transpired. It will also assist in inspiring and motivating personnel who may be weak in dedication and
motivation.
