ACTIVITY#1(WRITTEN TASK)

WHAT TO KNOW

1. The two Greek words are “Photos” means light and “Graphos” means writing. In photography,
images are captured by a camera, and camera works with the use of the light of the visible
spectrum.
2. Technology contributes to the development of an art like photography because it is more easy
to edit photographs. Technology is faster, easier and more efficient in photography. There are
apps that can edit pictures with effects, dimensions and the quality of the picture.
3. Photography is truly a modern art form because it requires technology a camera to be precise. It
also requires other gadgets to enhance its beauty and realism features.
4. The special talents and skills a photographer have to make him or her an artist is to be: creative
and imaginative, technical photography skills, patience and concentration and has team working
skills.
5. The qualities to make photography a powerful communication tool is because some subject
matters just really need visuals to understand it. Photography converts a message into a picture
making it easier for people to understand what the message is all about. Photos are also kept as
“memories” for personal use and can be stored in both digital and printed form and lastly
photography can be used as proof or evidence.

ACTIVITY 2(PERFORMANCE TASK)

1. a.) A commercial or business message

TITLE: HEALTHY FOOD FOR DOGS

 The purpose for this photo is for the dogs to have not just a food but a healthy and have an
appetizing food. In modern life the role I believe photography plays is that it reminds people
that the food for our dogs should be healthy.

b.) A social or political statement

TITLE: STOP!

The purpose of this photo is to let the people know what is happening and to let the
government know to stop on doing something and also they want to warn the government about their
rights as a human being. In modern life the role I believe photography plays is that it informs other
people what they are experiencing and what is their opinions about it.

c.) Artistic expression

TITLE: EMBRACE THE MUSIC IN YOU!

The purpose of this photo is to let others know how important music is to our lives and
how the woman loves music. In modern life the role I believe photography plays is how
important music in our lives, for me music helps me to relax. In the modern life our lives are
busy with work, school and our problems.
