Gabay sa Magulang/Tagapag-alaga

Nagdulot ng napakaraming pagbabago sa pamumuhay ng bawat


Pilipino ang pandemyang nararanasan ng buong mundo. Sa gitna nito, ang
Department of Education ay kaisa ng inyong tahanan upang maipagpatuloy
ang edukasyon ng lahat ng mag-aaral sa buong Pilipinas. Dalawa sa sa mga
pamamaraang ito ang paghahanda ng Learning Continuity Plan at ng Most
Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs).
Sa taong ito, inihanda ang Homeroom Guidance MELCs na
naglalayong matulungan ang mag-aaral upang maipagpatuloy ang pagkatuto
sa kabila ng mga pagbabagong dulot ng pandemya. Naglalayong maituro ng
Homeroom Guidance (HG) ang mga kasanayan sa buhay o life skills sa
pamamagitan ng self-learning modules. Nakatuon ito sa tatlong
mahahalagang domeyn – ang academic, personal-social at career
development. Binigyang-pokus sa Homeroom Guidance MELCs and mga
gawaing makatutulong sa lahat ng mga mag-aaral na magkaroon ng
Rasyunal na Pag-iisip (Rational Thinking), Malusog/Maayos na Pagkilos
(Healthy Behavior) at Positibong Disposisyon (Positive Disposition) na higit
na kailangan sa panahong ito.
Magkakaroon sa modyul na ito ng pagkakataon ang mag-aaral na
tuklasin ang kanyang kalakasan at kahinaan tungo sa pagkamit ng tagumpay
sa kanyang adhikain sa kanyang pag-aaral.
Malaki ang gagampanin ng mga magulang upang mapagtagumpayan
ang mga gawaing nakalatag dito. Kakailanganin ng mag-aaral ang inyong
patnubay at gabay sa modyul na ito. Kung kaya, hinihingi ng DepEd ang
inyong suporta na makatutulong upang mapagtagumpayan ng mag-aaral
ang mga hamon sa buhay, maisakatuparan ang mga inaasahang Gawain at
higit sa lahat, matutunan ang mga kasanayan sa buhay na kailangan nilang
taglayin sa yugtong ito.
Introductory Message
For the learner:

As part of examining your life as you go along this pandemic to a new normal, it is
important to evaluate your strength and weaknesses. Evaluating your strength and
weaknesses will help you to the adjustments that you will need for the next stage of your life.
This module is composed of different tasks as a reflection on how you handle the demands
of life. This could help you understand the things that are happening around you and for you
be able to stay effective in dealing with different challenges.

Work on the tasks seriously; seek help if you believe you need to. Remember, in life
there are things that you cannot control. There will be negative events that will challenge
your positive dispositions. However, do not be disheartened: you have the means on how to
overcome it. You have that in you! Embark on this journey of overcoming your weaknesses
and optimizing your strengths in transforming into a better version of yourself!

overcoming weaknesses in achieving academic success.

Introduction
As a learner, you may have experienced challenges in adapting to the
new normal. These challenges may stem from different factors that affect your
academic success. In this module you are going to recognize your strengths and
acknowledge your weaknesses.

1. Go to a silent area of your home.
2. Sit in your most comfortable position.
3. Close your eyes and try to recall an experience that is very memorable
and full of learning for you.
4. On a clean sheet of paper, make a drawing of that experience and answer
the processing questions after.

As a learner, it would be helpful if you know what you have and
what you don’t have to ensure your academic success. This will empower you to
strategize to and secure every action in your studies. The following are some ways to
make use of your capacities to your advantage.
1. Continue training/participating in activities that will deepen your
understanding about yourself, the skills that you posses and the things that
you are good at.
2. Ask the help of your parents, siblings and other family members for the
opportunity to learn/enhance your strength.
3. Learn from others through observation and communication;
4. Be open to change and challenges along the way; and
5. Focus on the things that will help you in discovering your potentials;
6. Recognize your weakness and accept it as part of yourself and your
commitment for personal development;
7. Seek guidance from someone you trust ;
8. Prepare/plan for strategies on how you can overcome your weaknesses;
9. Put your heart, mind and efforts toward self-improvement/personal
development; and
10. Commit to your plans and continue to strive even during the challenging
times.

After reading and having the ideas on the simple ways of knowing your
strengths and weaknesses and the practical tips on how to overcome your
weaknesses especially in this current time, it would be best to look at your present
situation by doing this next activity.
ATM: “My Chosen Quotation, My Now As A Student In This Time of Pandemic”
1. Think of a quotation that will best describe how you will deal with your
PRESENT academic experience, strengths, and weaknesses.
2. Reflect on how it affects you in a more meaningful way.
3. Write the quotation on a clean sheet of bond paper. Make it like a poster. You
may use coloring materials.
