Equipment descriptions
Performance specifications cover the following types of motorcycles suitable for
transport within the EPI:
E2/MC.1 Mopeds. Most suitable for female riders on good roads or in urban
areas.
E2/MC.2 Off-road motorcycles. Can be used by both female and male riders
on good roads and in rough terrain for short distances (up to 150 km.).
E2/MC.3 Medium size off-road motorcycles. More suitable for male riders on
good roads and in rough terrain for short and long distances.

MOPED

Dry weight: 90-110 kg.
Saddle height: 775-820 mm.
Starter: Kick
Tank capacity: 4-5 litres
Fuel consumption: More than 40 km/litre
Ground clearance: Minimum 200 mm.

Type of use:
Can be used by both female and male riders for visits on good roads and in
rough terrain for short distances (up to 150 km.)

Persons and load:

One person (two in an emergency) and a short range vaccine cold box, weighing
up to 25 kg.

Suspension:
Telescopic, twin or single shock absorbers

Minimum travel:
Front: 120 mm.
Rear: 100 mm

Transmission:
4/5 gear, friction clutch

Wheels:
Front: 19 inches, semi knobbly tyre
Rear: 18 inches, semi knobbly tyre
