Significance of the Study

The study is primarily about how to have an organized solid waste management
in the chosen barangay. It would also help to discover the prevalence and contributing
factors that would be significant and essential to the following individuals:
Citizens. The study would help the residents and citizens of Zone 2 and Zone 3 from
Baragay Pinagkawitan, Lipa City because they are the ones who experience the certain
problem. This may also serve as precautionary measures to help them to be aware and
have better understanding towards waste management.
Barangay Officials. The study will help them to know how to be responsible enough to
solve a problem that has a big impact to the people as well as on the environment. They
are the ones who can also conduct programs that could eliminate the problem
effectively.
Other Communities. The study may contribute ways and information to the fellow
communities which would address the waste management problem on their barangay.
Future Researchers. The study would help the future researchers to have more
background information towards the implementation of solid waste management in
Brgy. Pinagkawitan, Lipa City that happens among the residents. It may also serve as a
basis for them that they could use to guide themselves to further improve their study.
