d. This task forms 15% of your final portfolio mark so allocate your time and effort
accordingly.

The review must be compiled as an “essay” and must be divided into paragraphs with

Task:

Watch the movie, ‘The Founder’, starring Michael Keaton and answer the
following:

 Provide a brief summary and context of the movie. Identify the key characters,
describe the setting and create an awareness of the focus of the movie.

 Evaluate the following topics by watching the movie, using any additional
resources such as your textbook as well as expressing your own opinion: (refer to
the rubric for further guidance)
Topics to discuss in your movie review
- Entrepreneurship: Highlight the entrepreneurship attributes of Ray Kroc that
stood out for you in the movie. Ch2
- Ethics: Highlight any ethical situations that you noted throughout the movie and
give reasons why in your opinion they were ethical situations.
- Professionalism: Give examples of any form of professionalism you noted in the
movie. Ch 6
- Marketing: There were many moments throughout the movie that touched on
sheer brilliance with regard to marketing. Ray Kroc identified future trends that still
exist in marketing today. Describe examples of these and explain their impact on
the marketing of McDonalds at that particular time.
- Franchising: Comment on what you observed with regard to the benefits of
franchising
