Arnis 

is known as the national martial arts here in the Philippines. In


Spanish era, it is called eskrima.  It is a weapon-based fighting using sticks
as wooden swords. Arnis includes hand-to-hand combat, joint locks,
grappling and weapon disarming techniques.
It is also known as one of the best martial arts for defense. Many students
joined this kind of exercise in their schools. Some of them are chosen to
compete at other schools and be one of their school's representatives.
