2. Tension Pulley Of Timing Belt


Rotate the bolt of tension pulley bracket and hear if it is noisy; check the contacting surface
and look if it is damaged.

Assembly
1. Aassembly Of Crankshaft timing gear

2. Assembly Of Timing Belt
(1) Confirm about the position of first
cylinder compression top dead center.
Mount the camshaft timing gear on the
front of exhaust camshaft in order to align
the gear locating groove and the locating
pin on camshaft. Fix the camshaft timing
gear with bolts and the tightening torque
of bolt is 100 5Nm.

(2) Make sure that the clashing mark of


crankshaft timing pulley aligns with
the mark of oil pump.

(3) Assemble the timing belt by the mark


of disassembly.

3. Disassembly Of Tension Pulley


(1) Adjust the tensile force of timing
belt.
As the view, swing the tensioner to
the right with screw driver so that the
distance between the edge of tension
pulley and the water pump housing
cycle is about 8mm
About 8mm Screw down the bolt of tension pulley
and the tightening torque is 25 3Nm.

Rotate the crankshaft 2 cycles as the


engine rotating direction. And
camshaft timing gear and crankshaft
timing gear both tally with the timing
mark.

When pressing the mid of right 5mm,


the force should be:
[Reference] 20 30 N
Note: when the deflection can not reach
the standard, it is necessary to adjust the
fixing bolt of tension pulley mentioned
above.
Screw down the bolts of tension pulley
assembly with specified torque.
Torque: 25 3N.m
4. Assembly Of Timing Belt Back Plate.

5. Assembly Of Timing Cover

Torque: 6 1N.m

6. Mount Torsional Damper (With


Special Tool)
(1) Without flywheel
Hitch the part of crankshaft pulley
with the belt of special tool.
Make the handle of special tool
Special Tool still(fixing) and do not rotate the belt.
Screw down the bolt with specified
torque:
Torque: 98.0 10N.m{10 1kgm}
(2) With flywheel
Prevent the gear from rotating with
special tool.
Then screw down the bolt of torsional
damper.

7. Assembly Of Water pump pulley


Torque: 6 1N.m

It will be better to disassemble with


special tool. If without special tool,
disassemble with screw driver and wrench
as the view.

3. CAMSHAFT

re-install it into camshaft shaft seat as required in aforesaid; 1st camshaft cover position as
indicated in Diagram 19 shall be applied with sealing glue and install four shaft covers; tighten
17 bolts from middle to two sides with tightening moment 6±0.5Nm.
Remove special bolts on air intake camshaft gear wheel, and each and every camshaft and gear
wheel shall be sprayed with little engine lubricating oil; review whether each and every air valve
clearance is within stipulated scope (air intake: 0.18±0.05; air exhaust: 0.25±0.05).
Install special bolt on front end of air exhaust camshaft, and rotate camshaft for more than 10
circles; observe whether joint surface between crankshaft and tappet pillar is provided with
superior lubricating, otherwise it shall be re-added with lubricating oil if not; after full
lubricating of joint surface, measure its even rotation speed rotation moment, which shall be less
than 15Nm.
Measure air intake camshaft clearance in shaft direction which shall be 0.1~0.170mm.
Measure air exhaust camshaft clearance in shaft direction which shall be 0.1~0.173mm.
19. Installation of air chamber cover
Air chamber cover gasket shall be clipped into groove of joint surface between air chamber
cover and cylinder cover, and then cover it on cylinder cover and tighten it by bolts with bolt
tightening moment 6±0.5Nm,and bolt tightening method as follows:
a. Multiple-shaft tightening method: tightening bolts to 6±0.5Nm simultaneously;
b. Single-shaft tightening method: firstly tighten bolts to the extent of joint with cover in an
opposite angle until there is apparent pressure, and then tighten to required moment in
sequence.
20. Installation of camshaft oil seal
There is interference cooperation between air exhaust camshaft shaft neck and oil seal hole
diameter, with magnitude of interference of 1.425~2.15
There is interference cooperation between oil seal seat hole diameter and oil seal outside
diameter, with magnitude of interference of 0.17~0.40
Oil seal outside and inside knife edges and camshaft oil seal shaft neck shall be sprayed with a
layer of engine lubricating oil with the side with part number outward; oil seal shall be pressed
into cylinder cover with special tool; after press-in, oil seal outside surface shall be even with oil
seal seat in cylinder cover.

There is interference cooperation between air intake camshaft blind cover and hole in cylinder
cover, and camshaft blind cover shall be pressed into holes in cylinder cover with special tool;
after press-in, blind cover end surface shall be even with front-end surface of cylinder cover.
21. Installation of camshaft position sensor
Camshaft position sensor shall be installed on installation hole on left top corner of cylinder
cover air intake surface, with bolt tightening moment 10±0.8Nm.
22. Installation of timing wheel, tension

22.1 Installation of timing wheel
Camshaft timing gear wheel shall be covered
on front end of exhaust camshaft, and align
positioning groove of gear wheel with
positioning pin of camshaft end surface; then

bolts shall be used to fix timing wheel with
bolt tightening moment100±5Nm.
Crankshaft timing wheel shall be installed on crankshaft with half-circle positioning key.
22.2 Installation of tension pulley and timing
belt
Screw tension pulley fixing bolt by hand.
Spark plug shall not be installed in case of
installation of timing belt; firstly turn
crankshaft to the position of Cylinder 1 top
dead center (compression) and confirm that Timing sign

aligned with sign on front end of cylinder cover as indicated in Diagram 20.
Rotate crankshaft to align timing sign on
crankshaft timing wheel with timing sign on
oil pump as indicated in Diagram 20.

shall be installed in an anti-clockwise way; use screwdriver to strain tension pulley as indicated
in Diagram 22 to realize distance of around 8mm between tension pulley edge and arc of water
pump cover as indicated in said diagram; tighten tension pulley bolt with tightening moment
shall be of 15±2Nm.
After tension pulley is installed, it is required to measure timing belt tensile with tensile meter;
whereas tensile value shall be 20~30N in case of pressure 5mm in the center of right side
(position as indicated in Diagram 23).
Timing belt baffle shall be installed on crankshaft timing wheel neck.
24 Installation of timing cover and sealing strip
Sealing strip shall be installed as per position indicated in Diagram

then install timing cover; firstly screw bolt by
hand in installation and then tighten to
6±0.5N.m.
25. Installation of oil dip-stick pipe
Insert oil dip-stick pipe into oil dip-stick pipe 图 25
hole in oil pump, and rotate oil dip-stick
direction; tighten it with the same bolt as timing cover, with bolt tightening moment 6±0.5Nm.

26. Installation of flywheel assembly
Flywheel assembly shall be positioned and installed on flywheel shaft neck of crankshaft by
positioning pin on flange surface of flywheel, and then install flywheel bolt by hand;
subsequently, use tool to tighten bolts in a symmetric way, with bolt tightening moment
70±3.5Nm.
27. Assembly and installation of thermostat internal seat, thermostat assembly and thermostat
cover
Thermostat internal seat shall be pressed into water outlet hole on the rear end of cylinder cover,
and thermostat assembly shall be clipped into thermostat internal seat; air release valve shall be
put upwardly, and then install thermostat cover; screw two bolts by hand and then tighten bolts to
moment 10±0.8Nm.
28. Installation of oil filter connector and assembly
Screw oil filter connector into holes in cylinder by hand, and then tighten it with special tool to
moment 40±2.5Nm; engine lubricating oil shall be used to lubricate sealing gasket surface of oil
filter; screw oil filter by hand, and then use special tool to tighten to moment 20±1.5Nm.
29. Engine assembly leakage test
Install engine oil adding cover, and add
compressed air into oil dip-stick pipe to

30. Assembly and installation of intake

manifold assembly

bolt shall be applied with little thread
fixing glue, and install it into bolt hole in
cylinder cover; screw-in depth shall be subject to complete thread in single side to be screwed
into it with tightening moment 10±0.8Nm. Seven double-head bolts shall be installed into intake
manifold sealing gasket and install intake manifold assembly; screw seven hexagon flange
