TRIPOD EARTH PIT LAYOUT

The arrangement of earth rods is in a triangle position , 3 RODS

are placed in similar fashion as shown in drawing, with suitable
qty of ground enhancing materials such as OBO OCP/ CURECON
placed around electrodes. The chemicals must be inserted in a
slurry medium ( half liquid state) from bottom upwards with soil
mixed in between .

The RODS used must be atleast 17.2mm dia copper bonded ( UL

certificate is must ) of length 03 mtrs each. The rods must have
welded clamp on top for suitable connection with atleast 04 holes.

Normally 25x3 Cu strip is used for interconnecting the pits. The EARTH PIT cover can be on top of any one
electrode which will be interconnecting the rod further to EARTH GRID, OR it can be separately placed as
shown in diagram above.

EARTH PIT COVER:

The polyplastic pit covers are tested by NABL accredited labs for withstanding
7.5 tonnes for 1 minute, certificate available. This type of pit cover does not
need any brick/cement works, is directly inserted in ground.
