International Marketing with cases–Lecturer: Thomas Ohlenbostel

Time Schedule:

1. First session
(1) April 20th: First online lecture from 9 am - 13 pm.
(2) “Homework”: students work on their own on a follow-up based on the presented
chapters in the lesson/script. Along with the recap students develop two questions
regarding the content of the first lesson.

2. Second session
(1) April 27th: 2nd lecture from 9 am - 13 am. Discuss exemplary questions, in extracts
and in the plenum and continue lesson based on the script. At the end of the lesson,
set tasks for the next session.
(2) “Homework”: students work on their own on a follow-up based on the presented
chapters in the lesson/script. Along with the recap students develop two questions
regarding the content of the second lesson.

3. Third session
(1) May 4th: 3rd lecture from 9 am - 13 pm. Here discuss exemplary questions, in extracts
and in the plenum and continue lesson based on the script. At the end of the lesson,
set tasks for the next session.
(2) “Homework”: students work on their own on a follow-up based on the presented
chapters in the lesson/script. Along with the recap students develop two questions
regarding the content of the third lesson.

4. Fourth session
(1) May 11th: 4th lecture from 9 am - 13 pm. Here discuss exemplary questions, in
extracts and in the plenum and continue lesson based on the script. At the end of the
lesson, set tasks for the next session.
(2) “Homework”: students work on their own on a follow-up based on the presented
chapters in the lesson/script. Along with the recap students develop two questions
regarding the content of the fourth lesson.

5. Fifth session

(1) May 18 : 5 lecture from 9 am – 13 pm. Here discuss exemplary questions, in
extracts and in the plenum and continue lesson based on the script.
(2) “Homework”: students work on their own on a follow-up based on the presented
chapters in the lesson/script. Along with the recap students develop two questions
regarding the content of the fifth lesson.

6. Sixth and final session

(1) May 25 : 6 and final lecture from 9 am – 13 pm. Here discuss exemplary questions,
in extracts and in the plenum and continue lesson based on the script.
(2) Students work in their teams and prepare scientific summary for the exam…

Exam:
Model “Team Works”
• 4 teams of 4 students (16 students in total)
• Course work: scientific summary of the complete script, but within the teams, after
team-internal coordination, an individual breakdown by chapter or topic
• Scope: each student produces approx. 2,000 words (approx. 300 words per page, i.e.
6-7 pages) with citations, footnotes, graphics etc. (possibly Harvard Style of Referenc-
ing) or each group with a total of approx.4 x 2.000 words = max. 8,000 words (up to
25 pages)
• Evaluation: Team evaluation suggested. Individual evaluation possible for each stu-
dent, depending on the students' democratic voting in their respective teams.

On their way to the course-work, the “script summary”, I would like to offer one recap ses-
sion like this:
Recap Session on e.g. June 4th (Friday), 10 - 12 pm for team leaders. Discussion of previ-
ous course work by teams. Of course, in between students can always send a request to
the teacher. However, it is recommended that team leaders collect requests from their
teams and channel these to the teacher.

Deadline: Submission time for the exam paper is June 22th. (Tuesday) EoD…
