INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR STANDARDIZATION l MEXLIYHAPOfiHAJl OPTAHM3AUWl I-IO CTAHLIAPTM3AUMM l ORGANIZATION INTERNATIONALE DE NORMALISATION
Descriptors : chemical compounds, liquids, physical tests, density (mass/volume), measurement, pyknometric analysis.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circu lated
to the member bodies for approval before their acceptance as lnternat ional
Standards by the IS0 Council.
Prior to 1972, the results of the work of the technical committees were published
as IS0 Recommendations; these documents are in the process of being transformed
into International Standards. As part of this process, Technical Committee
lSO/TC 47, Chemistry, has reviewed IS0 Recommendation R 758-1968 and found
it technically suitable for transformation. International Standard IS0 758 therefore
replaces IS0 Recommendation R 758-1968, to which it is technically identical.
IS0 Recommendation R 758 has been approved by the member bodies of the

be taken to avoid loss by evaporation.
