The Department of Health (DOH) Mission and Vision
VISION : Filipinos are among the healthiest people in Southeast Asia by 2022 and by 2040
MISSION: To lead the country in the development of a productive, resilient, equitable and
people centered health system.
When we talk about healthcare, the main goal is to give an effective health to everyone. For me,
my instinct upon the Vision of the Philippines is they see all Filipinos are healthy and a
productive one in the following years but the pandemic arrives at this moment. The mission of
the Department of health is to have a productive country but we’re not still sure if we will
achieve the vision because of the pandemic.
This task, makes me realize the situation now, because at this moment people who was engaged
on COVID 19 are still increasing, so how the DOH maintain the health of the country, it is was
very interesting because it says that by 2022, Filipinos are one of the healthiest people in
Southeast Asia but how can they see their Vision right now if some citizens of the Philippines
are not following the general guidelines and protocols in their respective areas.
According to the United States Mission, is to enhance the health and well-being of all Americans
by providing for effective health and human services and by fostering sound, sustained advances
in the sciences underlying medicine, public health, and social services. Their mission is
achievable because for me I think the netizen there is following their guidelines upon this
pandemic.
Both Country are attaining the productivity and effective of health to have a healthy country, but
the other one is focusing on effectiveness of health to the people. And the other is the
development of productive health care system.
By reading this two mission, I’ve realized the main point of the two countries upon the health
care system is to maintain and providing the effective way of giving care to every people.
