2.3 Need for the project and its importance to the country and or region.
In the present scenario, the Colour Granite has good market in the country for
construction of buildings, roads, dams, etc., the available of 100% of Road Metal is
useful. Therefore, there won’t be any wastage.

2.4 Demand-supply Gap.

There is a demand for Colour Granite and is ever growing with the growth of
industrialsector in the country. The requirement of the mineral is always found high in
adjoining areas.

2.5 Imports V/s Indigenous production

Colour Granite mined from the proposed project will neither be exported nor imported. It
is an indigenous production and will be supplied within the country.

2.6 Export Possibility

No export.

2.7 Domestic/ Export Markets

100% of the excavated Colour Granite will be supplied to consumers for roads laying,
earth filling, infrastructure works etc.

2.8 Employment generation (Direct and Indirect due to the project)

The proposed project will generate direct employment to 33 people of the poorest section
of the society, while benefitting more people indirectly.
3.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION

3.1 Type of project including interlinked and interdependent projects, if any

The proposed mining project is mining of Colour Granite is open cast method.

3.2 Location

3.3 Details of alternate sites considered

The mineral is site specific, hence there are no alternative sites considered. Mining
activities are carried out based on local geology and availability of the mineral.
3.4 Size or magnitude of operation
About 10000 m2 of excavation out of which intended ROM 7920 cum of Colour Granite
will be mined by forming one bench of 6.0 m each. The year wise details are tabulated
