Pedagogy Planning
Activity
1. When class begins, students will be introduced to the
concept of the writing process through the
presentation. Students should be questioned by the
teachers regarding their knowledge of the writing
process before starting the presentation. Afterwards,
the teacher may start using the IWB presentation.
2. The presentation starts with the students interacting
with the slides to learn more about the writing
process. The teacher will introduce the concept of the
writing process and will tap the parts of the
presentation accordingly in the first part (up to slide 5).
The teacher should be explaining the slides and using
the IWB to highlight information.
3. From this point onward, the two questions are
presented to the students, and on slide 8, they may
answer for themselves. The students will need to go to
hellosmart.com and join, either with an account or as a
guest. Either option is acceptable, as long as the
student uses the name they prefer to be called
normally. Students will answer the questions, and the
activity should conclude once the students have
answered all questions. There may be technical
difficulties that prevent the entirety of the class
answering, which is fine, but do wait for everyone to
have an opportunity to answer.
4. The next slide calls for students to write their own
points for when an article may be considered well-
organized. The teacher may select from the students
randomly based on volunteers or at their own
discretion to write on the board. After 3-5 students
have gone, the teacher should continue presenting.
5. Slide 12 is similar to slide 8, the teacher should
introduce the question, then let the students again join
in and answer the question.
6. Slides 13-17 are slides that require touch in order to
reveal information, with instructions at the bottom.
You can have a student come for each slide to interact
and pull out the parts of slide whilst the teacher
continues to guide the presentation.
7. The final slides are questions, but by going to the last
slide you can have the students yet again join in order
to answer the questions.
8. After the final questions, you may review the results
with the students, which will be the final part of the
Pedagogy

lesson.
