THE INTERNSHIP OFFER

I chose this internship by ABInBev on LinkedIn. I find it very interesting


because it gives you the opportunity to work with 3 management
teams, namely Sales, Supply, and support. Also, at the end of the
internship, I will need to present my project, what I achieved, the
challenge, and my own development.

Besides that, the internship is for a sales role, which is what I like.
Doing an internship in a sales team, will give enhance my skills with
people and customers. I think that is very important.

As last, everything that mentioned that is needed to be able to apply


to this job offer, is what I’ve learned in IBM. From teamwork to be
able to understand the goals of a company. Doing this internship will
give me a good opportunity to put my knowledge to practice.

REFLECTION ON MY TALENTS AND LEVER
SKILLS

1. Busy bee
During school and my daily life, I can’t sit still and do nothing. I need something to work on,
otherwise I feel as If I’m not doing anything. For example: I notice that I have free time, so I will work
on an assignment.

Which lever skills can I learn?


The lever skills that I can learn with this talent are: to have a good routine that leverages my time,
and that I don’t have to rely on motivation.

How have I used this lever skill?


I have up and downs just like everyone. During those bad days, my mind doesn’t want to do
anything like most people. But, I don’t rely on motivation because as you see it isn’t always
present. Having my own routine, and just doing the things even though I’m not in the mood, pays
of in the long term

2. Sponge of knowledge
Every day I learn something, I like having new epiphanies and discovering things. A good example of
my daily life, would be that I always read a book in the morning. In relation with the internship, we
can agree that being open for new information is very important. The eager to learn things.

Which lever skills can I learn?


To have a clear insight into what I’d like to learn, so I can avoid overload of information.

How will I develop the lever skill?


Decide beforehand which topics I want to learn, and to only focus on that. It is also a good idea to
create yearly timeline of what I want to do in which period of time, and make a plan.

3. Here and now champion


I am a very calm person, even when a situation happens where people normally would stress, I
wouldn’t.

Which lever skills can I learn?


To recognize when I have to take caution, because sometimes I’m calm when you shouldn’t be. This
leads to me being less alert than others.

How will I develop the lever skill?


Look at my environment and analyse whether I should be more alert. Analyse the situation, and act
accordingly to it.

4. Think things through
I like having conversations with everyone, because I get to see other perspectives on things. This
helps me to see things from a different angle. When being in a sales team, it is important to listen to
your customer, so I think this skill will help me as I can easily step into someone else’s shoes.

Which lever skill can I learn?


To learn how to show people that you understand their perspective.

How will I develop this lever skill?


By showing that I’m actively listening. Summarizing what they said, body language, and etc.

5. Engaged listener
I listen more than I talk. Whenever I’m talking with someone, I’ll be mostly asking questions, and the
other person will be answering. This is because I know people like to talk about their life, and the
things they know.

Which lever skill can I learn?


Learn how to also be fluent in communication, and keep a conversation going. It is possible that
people will feel as if they are being interviewed.

How can I develop this lever skill?


By experience, and trying out.
