Dear Sir.

For several years the planet earth has been a tortured due to the technological development of
men which has meant death and massive destruction to the planet.
Our intelligence identifies us as the best because we have used the environment
for the common benefit and the worst because we have irresponsibly misused nature.
We men as the dominant species have ended a diversity of flora and fauna, generating
pollution that affects nature, pesticide pollution, oil spills at sea, the dangers of nuclear
radiation, and forest fires threaten the ecosystems of the earth that have led to situations of
serious ecological damage.
One of the biggest causes of ocean pollution is oil spills. A high percentage of the oil and its
industrial derivatives that are dumped into the sea are waste that is dumped by coastal cities.
The sea is used as a deposit for polluting substances, and the situation will not change as long
as there are not strict controls, with severe penalties for violators.
The spills cause large deaths of waterfowl, fish, and other living things in the oceans. This
alters the balance of the ecosystem and modifies the environmental chain.
For this reason, technology must be environmental, that is, technology must care for man and
nature, making it part of a sustainable development that improves the environment,
strengthening a balance between all the species that inhabit the planet, but for this to happen
technology must be shared in the use of knowledge and not be managed as its own, the planet
must be cared for and respected, but this is only achieved if those of us who inhabit the planet
unite as a single world society.
I would dare to say that since the era of the industrial revolution, a temperature rise has been
seen very rapidly due to the pollution caused by greenhouse gas emissions, which have been
generated by burning fuels fossils, oil, gas, and coal and above all the cutting of forests. It is
well known that these threats impact the balance of the earth in its climate, generating great
changes that directly affect human beings, which is why the challenge to combat climate
change is very great because it is not only fighting emissions of greenhouse gases but urgently
need to remove excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. If this contamination continues,
there will be an increase in temperature, causing the poles to melt, generating an increase in
sea level and the populations that live on the coasts are the longest, will be hungry and that
agriculture would also be affected Colombia would not escape climate change, because
according to the UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION Colombia is the third country in the world
most vulnerable to climate change.

I have always considered that one of the most effective and valid reasons is to create
awareness that the land is our home and as such we must take care of it, on the other hand we
can use recycling with this we can use a product several times and thus we are avoiding that
emissions drop a little. To contribute to the climate crisis, actions such as the use of solar
panels and wind turbines can be carried out, making the conversion of sunlight and wind into
electricity without generating greenhouse gases, these energies being cheap and reliable. On
the other hand, the use of the electric vehicle, since it does not emit any type of particles to the
environment, as it is a vehicle that only needs electrical energy for its movement. All of the
above can be carried out, but if we start to become aware from our homes, and that would be if
we are going to take a tour and if you can go on foot, or use the bicycle, stop using the dryer
and try to use the sun's rays for drying clothes, avoiding the consumption of red meat since its
production emits a greater number of greenhouse gases than chicken, reusing water or
rationing the use of water or better still collecting rainwater used to irrigate the bushes in dry
weather or for use in the bathrooms. With this and much more we can prevent the planet from
continuing to heat up.

Cordially
