Answer To The Question Number 1

As Hyundai Motor and Apple Inc. came to an agreement that they will produce self-driving electric cars
by 2027. There are shares of Apple Inc., Kia Motors, and Hyundai there. So there will be different parties
working together. Though Kia Motor is a subsidiary of Hyundai Motors which is a South Korean
company. And the rest of the automated part will be done by Apple. Kia has its factory in Georgia or
they both invest for a new car factory.

If I talk about the future this is the innovation the world is waiting for. It will be seen that a major
portion of the car market will be covered by the automated cars in the developed counties in near
future. For the third world countries it might take time to adopt. But the innovation is very much
necessary at this moment.

Where there are possibilities, there are risk associated with that. More possibilities brings more risks. On
this partnership, the most important thing is that the brand value of Hyundai cars in the top growing
markets. It means that, the apple will produce its technological part if the automated car. But the body
and the other parts will be Hyundai. But the highest valued brand in car industry in the world is currently
being occupied by Hyundai.

To me, the main risk can be the automation part of Apple. As apple is going to do the technological part,
and it is the first time in the history, that automatic self-driving cars will be sold to the mass consumers.
Every new technology comes with drawbacks and with time it is corrected.

As Hyundai has the most market share in car industry, if the technological part fails somehow, then both
the company will face its own consciences. On this regard, there are chances because it is a very new
technology.

Above all, this limitation can be covered up with a lot of research, test-runs and other supervision from
Apple Inc. side.

Answer To The Question Number 2

At present, Google meet is one of the most used video conferencing web application. There are several
competitors like Zoom, Skype, Messenger & Whatsapp room etc. But google meet seems to be a
premium application. In many organizations its being used as an integrated part of their daily meetings.

The features Google meet provides are almost similar to other video conferencing applications. But
there some extended features like anyone using their Gmail app on android can use Google meet
services on it. Though there is an integrated application for the Google meet itself. So it’s a bit distinctive
than other similar services like Skype & zoom. There is no option of sending file using Google meet
android version to all the participants or some selected participants during the conference. So this can
be an additional feature of android app.

But the main thing that can be added is changing the video background. It’s because of sometimes we
remain in a place where the background may not be polite for the others. So this might be the
innovative feature of Google meet.
Answer To The Question Number 3
Being the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Arla Foods Bangladesh Ltd., I’ll consider “a world class supply
chain and improving the farmer owners’ life” as the strategic relationship opportunity that will deliver
sustainable superior value to its end users. Arla Foods Bangladesh Ltd. doesn’t have manufacturing plant
in Bangladesh, so it has to import the finished products. A better supply chain can mitigate all the
adversities that may come in future. This forward integration of supply chain is very vital for Arla
Bangladesh. On the other hand, the strategic relationship with farmers must be improved so that they
provide the best quality milk to company. The livelihood of farmers should be taken in count to improve
and incentivized properly. This backward integration of supply chain makes it stronger to get the better
responses from the customers. “Dano” one of the prominent brand in milk powder category which has
been earning the Best Brand Award for the past 6 consecutive years (2). So, this brand has the best
possible opportunity in Bangladesh.

There is no manufacturing plant in Bangladesh of Arla Foods Bangladesh Ltd., so building a superior
supply chain has been associated with cross border freights. We have just faced a global pandemic when
all cities have undergone lockdown and everything was shutdown. This has a risk of not getting products
timely and it’s a costly process to bring the almost finished goods. Whereas building manufacturing
plants in Bangladesh can mitigate the issue and also will create employment opportunities which will
improve the livelihood of many people.

Answer To The Question Number 4

As the Chief Marketing Officer-CMO of Arla Foods Bangladesh Ltd. I think “impact on individual’s income
level and ultimate effect on consumption and how Arla faces it” as the biggest strategic challenge for
Arla Foods Bangladesh Ltd. for the upcoming days in this ongoing pandemic in Bangladesh. The ongoing
pandemic has affected everyone’s income level and Bangladesh is going through a graduation process of
low level income country to middle level income country. The middle class group is booming, but
meanwhile it has got a bit affect with COVID-19. The most consumed product of Arla is milk powder in
Bangladesh which has got affected by the ongoing pandemic. From the report (3), it has been seen that
the consumption has a higher growth even in rural Bangladesh. “Dano” is considered as the synonymous
term of milk powder just like “Harpic” of bathroom cleaner.

Arla Foods Bangladesh Ltd. is already providing their products in e-commerce platform which will create
a good pool in its sales volume. It can have an own e-commerce platform and this channel will add a
better value to its customers.
