Title: Education in times of the covid-19

Introduction: The COVID-19 has revealed how education happens.

Supporting idea 1: Parents have not always been as close to their kids’ education as they are now, the Covid made
them more aware of what goes on at school because now it happens much closer than before.
Supporting detail: They see firsthand what excites their kids and what brings them down. They in turn receive a
free class on Algebra, music, and other subjects.

Supporting idea 2: Another thing it has exposed how families live and what challenges they face.
Supporting detail: their problems will inevitably be known by teachers. Problems such as not being able to
afford a new device, if a parent works too many hours and cannot assist their kids, or how collaborative they are
at participating in the school-parents’ online meetings.

Supporting idea 3: in spite of the many different challenges, they can always get something good out all of this new
reality. Not only does it cope with it, but it also brings something to the table that can stay with us longer than this
pandemic.
Supporting detail: Families are not the only ones receiving more support from schools and governments but
also the education methodology itself; as it is being analyzed and enriched by the implementation of new ways
to try to find answers to this new situation.

Conclusion: In a nutshell, the pandemic revealed how parents are an active part of their kids’ education, as well as how
they became students too. People’s living situation became evident and the education system itself observes an
evolution because after all, education will always be necessary and it cannot afford getting behind; neither can
educators or the society.
