HOT TOPICS FOR WAT 2018 - Part 2

Written Ability test for 2018 B-school admissions

WAT (Written Ability Test) is an integral part of the admissions process of most IIMs (Indian Institutes of
Management). This is a written pen-on-paper test which runs for roughly 15-20 minutes. There is a discussion
component in some of IIMs after the WAT timeslot, which runs for 10-15 minutes.

One of the hot topics in WAT during the 2017 B-School admissions was around the Demonetization Policy of 2016,
Debates around Net Neutrality, and Donald Trump becoming President of the United States. A majority of the topics
focused on Indian government policy impacting the Business sphere - such as subsidies, taxes, Make in India, etc.

We can expect this trend to continue and the expected set of topics for 2018 can be grouped under the two categories
below.
