Create a Journal Entry/ Narrative on the discussions done

during the synchronous session.

During our synchronous session there was an oral recitation about Evaluating Message
and Image of Different Types of Text. So my understanding about this topic is there are
different types of text, the factual text and literary text. The factual text is
inform the reader about a particular subject. They should give useful information and
focus on facts. For examples of factual texts is news reports, interviews, recipes, records
of history. While the literary text is more in entertain or elicit an emotional response by
using language to create mental image, for example of literary text is manuscripts,
poetry, reports, textbooks online works and more. And Ma'am Camatura asked my
classmate what is the purpose of the text. In my opinion, the purpose of a text is simply
the writer's reason for writing. Many texts have more than one purpose, but usually one
will stand out as primary. Readers have the job of determining the purpose or purposes
of a text and understanding why the writer is writing and what the writer wants the
reader to do with the text the writer might have an intention or intent, such as informing
or persuading the reader and so that we can really understand what we are reading.
And this is what I learned in our synchronous session. Even in a short time, it gives me a
lot of ideas and understanding and that's all, Thank you Ma’am
