Define Technical Descriptions- A part by part depiction of the component of a mechanism

Types of Technical Descriptions
 Operations Manuals- Instruction that help a user install, operate and service the
equipment.
 Product Demand Specifications- Ordering a piece that they need to work the machine
that they do not have.
 Study Reports Provided by Consulting Firms- Hiring someone to study the problem and
provide a descriptive analysis.
 Construction Design- Must first be clarify with the city and the client before building to
check the location and the dimensions.
 Sales Literature- Company want to make more money, so they post on website and sale
letter.
Definition of Process Analysis- A description of how an object works.
Examples of Process Analyses- Making a Sandwich
 Get two Bread.
 Put the Ham on the one bread
 Put Cheese
 Put the other bread on top.

Criteria for Writing Technical Descriptions and Process Analyses
 Title- The topic of what you are going to write about.
 Overall Organization- Specify and define your topic and explain the topic.
 Technical Description- describes a process in terms of its purpose, design, and parts.
 Technical Description and Process Analysis- Read what the paper say and follow the
rule.
 Highlighting Techniques- Marking important Word.
