RISE OF THE EAST DECLINED OF THE WEST

Introduction
Nothing is constant in this universe except change. Over a certain period of time,
everything undergoes a change, which could be a source of either decay or
evolution. This process could be cyclical as well. Some political scientists opine
that evolution of power takes place in a cyclical pattern and transforms the
scenarios at regional and international levels. Often; the power of a state, relative
to others, follows a curve of rise and decline with unique properties, having
specific consequence for security and peace at regional and global levels. State’s
cycle of power and role is the expression of relative change particularly in the
structure of the international political system. The history is witness to the fact that
due to one reason or the other, the international system regularly reshuffles the
deck in demoting and promoting powers, fragmenting some and empowering
others, and so on. Such shifts not only bring changes in the pattern of behavior in
inter-state relations but sometimes affect the basic power structure of the world.
Few people today would remember a world not dominated by the United States
(US). This dominance has been both challenged and controversial at times, but
American foreign policy for more than half a century has exerted a powerful
influence across much of the world. Some new centers of power have emerged in
Asia, Africa, and Latin America. But; in geo-strategic terms, this transition is led
by Asian nations including China, Japan, the ASEAN, Koreas, India, and some
others. For many Asian nations, especially China, the last two have been a period
of evolution and rise. With its emerging economic, political, and military
strengths, China is undergoing a process of readjustment in the global system with
the relative decline in the US.
The United States and China have experienced many changes in their relations in
the past 30 years. Some international security experts posit that the most profound
one has begun—an apparent power transition between the two nations China’s
economy officially overtook the United States to become the world’s largest,
according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), measured in purchasing
power parity. China is thus expanding its power and economic influence over the
rest of the world. China’s leaders are aware that soft power could help alleviate the
fears of its neighbors and the West about China’s rise by contributing to a friendly
external environment for its economic development and governance. The Chinese
were capable of great innovations before as they are capable now. After decades
of backwardness and isolation, China is again emerging as a strong, united, and
assertive but a peaceful nation in the world. Its influence is being realized at
regional level and its contributions for peace and development are being witnessed
in all seven continents of the globe. China going change the world in two
fundamentals. First china is a huge developing country with a population of 1.3
billion which has been growing for over 30 years. Second during in the modern
era. It was the first time that the dominant country in the world was China and not
from the West which is a very civilized and modernize country. Now it’s a
widespread in the west they said that was just an illusion, it was just an assumption
that modernity is a product simply of competition, markets and technology. While
the United States and China have always had conflict since the founding of the
People’s Republic of China (PRC) in 1949, U.S. and Chinese leaders should
always bear in mind that since China embarked on its genuine economic revolution
in 1978, the defining character of the U.S.-China relationship has become known
as a power transition. China is not like the west and it will never be like west. The
history of power transition is filled with bloodshed; yet China and the United
States are willing to blaze a new path out of this deadly contest.
In my conclusion, Since the last decade of the twentieth century, China’s influence
is growing in many parts of the world. It has emerged as a leader in trade, aid,
investment, and development in economic and security spheres. In parts of the
world, China now poses challenge to the US influence including in South Asia. We
can’t deny the fact that china influences the parts of the world. The ongoing rise of
China suggests that in the next two decades, it will overtake the US and become
the world’s largest economy. However, if there could be a transition power, I don’t
think it would be peaceful. Power transition is set in motion by the rise of a
previously underdeveloped big nation. As its national power grows and expands,
this rising has the impulse to make changes, intentionally or compulsively, to the
rules of the system that purportedly works against its interests. Changes of this
kind challenge the existing international order. If the challenger and the status-quo
powers cannot come to terms with the changes peacefully, they often settle their
differences on battlefields. The more confusing the transition of power, the more
likely it will be accompanied by a major power war. China and the United States
have exchanged goodwill for a peaceful future, the two nations nevertheless have
many contentious and unsettled conflicts of interest that are further complicated by
the power transition process and, if not properly managed, can force the two to
stumble into unintended war against each other. The United States and other
nations must be able to agree on what is happening in the international system. But
today, America still rules the world, despite its economic and other problems.
because they have values and ethics like pluralist democracy, respect for human
rights and market economy. Unlike china, China's only values are defending the
Chinese state and civilization -- this is not sufficient for ruling the world. As I said
in the nothing is constant in the universe but change. Image result for change is
constant quotes
We all face changes every day – whether it is a simple change in the weather, our
schedule or expected change of seasons. Change affects us all and we each deal
with change differently. This only constant in life, the only thing we can be sure
will happen.
