MY STRESS SIGNALS (REFLECTION)

1. How do you know that you are stressed?

 I know that I’m stressed whenever I feel uneasy, nervous and when I always
over-think. Usually, I am stressed when there are lots of homework and chores
to do and I don’t know where to start. They occur as symptoms like headaches,
cold hands, and rapid breathing and heart beats, as well as emotional from lack
of concentration, anxiety, anger, irritability and depression.

2. What stress signals do you have that your partner does not have?

 My emotional stress signals like anger, Headaches, jaw pains, Excessive sleeping,
anxiety or feeling of helplessness usually happen all at the same time inside my
head. This makes my stress experience unique compared to my partner who is
inclined to behavioral signals.

3. How much stress do you think you are currently under?

 I think that I deal with stress better because of having strong sense of humor.
Because of this, I tend to become more positive and I always find ways to solve
my problems on my own. However, as a teenager, I encounter many challenges
in my academic and personal life and it is to be defeated by them sometimes. As
of now, I think that I am under low level of stress.
4. How are your stress signals different for different types of stressors?

 My stress signals vary depending on the kind and intensity of stressors. Mild
problems like the thought of doing homework or choosing which meal to buy
only bring about short term anxiety problems. Whenever I encounter personal
problems, I tend to become more stressed compared to that of the stress caused
by school works. Personal problems are one of the worst problems which I find
hard to deal with. Having no money causes me a very low level of stress. Its
stress is nothing compared to academic and personal stress.

5. What are some ways that you usually do to remove or reduce the stress that cause
you physical, emotional and behavioral difficulties?

 I think that the best way to reduce or remove stress is to solve the problems
which cause you to become stressed. Because I become stressed when I
encounter problems so I always find way to solve them to end the stress I have.
Looking at the bright side always is another way to ensure that not every
situation gives you stress. Sometimes it is all in the mind and how you perceive
the situation that you’re into.
