Scholarships

Everyone always asks “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and you respond

without hesitating. As I grow older I realize the answer to that question is not so easy as it once

was. My goal after high school is to go to college and start educating myself on the career I want

for my future. I’m very interested in any kind of work with animals excluding being a vet

because that comes with some not very fun types of jobs like putting animals down. I have

grown up with all kinds of animals and I have experience with their different types of behavior

and I know how to handle their actions.

Growing up with animals teaches you many things such as responsibility, patience, and

timing. Without animals it is hard to learn responsibility because they are a lot of work. I’m

choosing to go to college because I feel like it is something that kids need for their mental health,

and to prepare them for finances and stress they will receive from the world in the workforce. It

is important that kids use their money to buy themselves food and books. It is beneficial to kids

to learn how to use their money wisely and know how to save up for things. Because I grew up

with animals, I have learned to love everything about them. My animals are important to me and

can be the most important thing to a human being and that is why I want to be there to help the

animal if it is in need. I am very patient and I have worked with animals before.

After high school and college I want a successful career that I enjoy and I want to pay off

my student debt as soon as I can so I can buy new things such as a car or a house. I hope to get

my associates degree in chiropractic, therapeutic, or any other types of animal work. Most of the

time a student wouldn’t need a college education for a job like working at a shelter for dogs, or

training any kind of animal. They would only have to go through different kinds of programs to

get the education they need for the career they are interested in. By going to college and also

including myself in training programs I hope to open up higher level jobs to myself and my

career field. I’m interested in higher job opportunities because I want to be as high up as I can go

if I want to pay off all my college debt.

Again, I have grown up with animals and I have a good amount of experience for any

kind of position containing animals. I will greatly benefit from this scholarship because I can put

it towards my education to become more knowledgeable about the specific career. Thank you for
