CREEP

Deformation that occurs in a period when a material is at some point a constant

effort and a constant temperature. In metals, creep usually occurs at elevated
temperatures. Creep at room temperature is more common in plastic materials and
is known as cold flow or deformation under load. The data requested in a creep
test is presented on a creep and time graph with constant stress and temperature.
The slope of the curve is the yield speed and the end point of the curve is the time
of the break. As indicated in the attached diagram, the creep of a material can be
divided into three stages. The first stage, or primary creep, begins at a rapid rate
and slows down over time.

CREEP LIMIT
The elastic limit (or elastic limit) of a material is defined as the tension existing in
the section of a standard specimen of said material, subjected to a tensile test or a
compression test, at the moment when deformation begins or plastic deformation.
of the same. It is represented by the symbol Sy (Syt if obtained from the tensile test
and Syc if obtained from the compression test).

ALLOY DESIGN FOR FLUENCE

-Matrix with compact crystalline structure.

-Matris extable up to Tf.
-High Tf and high plasticity
. -Matrix reinforced by solid solution.
-Reinforce grain edges.
– Thick and elongated engraving size.
-Matrix reinforced by precipitation or insoluble particles.
LOW FLUENCE T A T
less than 0.4Tf, the strain rate decreases rapidly over time. The variation of the
total deformation of the material by creep is very small. Def. Snapshot. Creep
deformation. Creep deformation at low T occurs by movement of dislocations in the
crystal lattice. T contributes very little to the movement of dislocations.

HIGH FLUENCE T
It can be dangerous for the material and cause service failures. For any T greater
than 0.4Tf the deformation progresses continuously over time and failure due to
breakage is reached. As the tension or T increases, the initial instantaneous
deformation of the material increases, the deformation speed increases, and the
time to rupture tR decreases.
