MSc. in Master Engineering Systems – Sustainable Energy

Engineering Systems is the prime driven source of modern world where Energy Technologies can,
in many cases, play an important role in the attainment of a sustainable energy development. As a
prospective student aspiring to pursue MSc. in Master Engineering Systems – Sustainable Energy, I
feel that MSc. in Master Engineering Systems – Sustainable Energy would be the area which would
have great potential to learn and explore how the fundamentals of science apply to make new
generation energy technologies and planning for the society without harming the environment.
Moreover, it will be an opportunity for me to enter the energy planning sector which shall
determine the power generation sources of the future world.
A university of applied sciences is the studding place for me which shall give me aspiration to
obtain a highly technical and hands-on profession applied science degree. Most AS degree
programs prepare graduates to work in very specialized professions. The special thing about the
university of applied sciences program that makes me more interested is it’s practical based and
profession oriented learning system which will both broader and deepen my knowledge.
I chose MSc. in Engineering Systems: Sustainable Energy in the HAN University of Applied
Sciences as my master's program because it is one of the most prone and potential fields in
engineering technology, which is contributing to the development and living of the world. There is
an excellent demand for courses related to this and our country, as well as the world, gives priority
to the job sector. Sustainable energy is a form of energy that meets our today's demand of energy
without putting them in danger of getting expired or depleted and can be used over and over again.
Thus this is something to be discovered used properly. I would like to invest myself to decode all
the hidden scopes in this sector. My primary goal in higher education is to learn broadly so that I
can serve the country. To achieve my goals, I shall make myself proficient through my studies,
which shall give me the opportunity to work in an amicable environment with extensive academic
resources. In this case, I believe that this program at the HAN University of Applied Sciences is the
best because it offers a more practical and modern course.
The current energy scenario of my country and the global scenario of pollution due to burning of
fossil fuel make me thinking about sustainable energy. As the scope of that field highly relevant to
renewable energy, I found that if I study Renewable energy then I could be able to combat this
worst scenario of pollution in the history of mankind ever. So, considering all this fact, I thought
that Renewable Energy is the only solution. If I got a degree in this field, not only I could be a
forefront soldier to mitigate the problem of energy in Bangladesh but also I could help reducing
pollution by replacing existing polluting technologies in the western world. This entire factor
influenced me to take the decision of taking a MSc. degree in the field of Sustainable Energy Track
in the HAN University of Applied Sciences.
I gained my B Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from IUBAT obtaining 3.36 (80% mark) out of 4.00
in April, 2016. I taught various courses on this desired program like; Power Plant Engineering and
Kinematics & Dynamics of Machines, Fluid Dynamics, Turbo Machinery, and Material Science
those gave me a foundation to complete this desired program fruitfully. Subjects like Computer
programming, Machine Drawing, CAD/CAM, Machine Design, Kinematics & Dynamics of
Machines, Applied Thermodynamics, Industrial Quality Control, Mechanics of Solid etc., revealed
to me limitless horizons in the field of Mechanical Engineering. The analytical and quick learning
skill I acquired throughout my bachelor study would provide me a great boast to end up with a
positive outcome in this desired course.
I have professional experiences regarding management operation and maintenance in production
and energy sector in different organization over last 4 years. In the present job at SQ GROUP PTE.
LTD, gathering a handful experience on general maintenance and management. I utilized my
academic skill in the energy sector where I used to work as an entrepreneur to set up a LPG supply
chain in various industrial sector of my country by which I got the opportunity to develop my
management and analytical skill.
I am always ready to evolve myself as accordance to the new culture with positive attitude. As an
international student to check my English language competence, I took IELTS exam and obtained
score 6.0. Moreover, I am planning to learn local language for increasing my communication skill
in a new culture. The important things that I will have to gather knowledge about the Dutch core
values. I also prepare myself by studying university provided handbook about the education system
in The Netherlands. Being very time conscious man, I am happy to match myself easily with the
desired culture that I want to move for the higher education. I believe that I can contribute with
effective and efficient method of working. Working with group is one of my passion of study and I
used to be a leader in my master’s program. I am totally confident about my ability and wish to
assure the evaluation board that I could bring my own experience, learning, educational background
throughout my academic and professional period.
