on the preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative aspect of care in the hospital
setting.

Enabling Objectives after eight (8) hours I should be able to:


1) Determine the position or presentation of the fetus by palpating or examining the
mother’s womb.
2) Comprehend the importance of Leopold’s Maneuver as nursing students.
3) Be guided in precautionary and preventive measures in doing or performing the
procedure.

2) Demonstrate correctly according to hospital policy the procedure given for
newborn care.
3) Use relevant information to develop appropriate essential newborn intervention.
4) Perform a nurse-patient interaction with the use of therapeutic communication.
5) Undermine the factors that might affect or alter the results in performing the
procedure.
