The Graphic below provides us the quantity of Olympic medals by twelve countries won in each
type, gold, silver and bronze. (won by twelve countries in each category)

In general, we see that (the)United States has the biggest quantity of medals won in the three
types more than two thousand, however China and Japan fight (fought) for the lowest quantity of
medal placement, they have less than five hundred medals each one. In addition is remarkable to
see the Soviet Union as a European country who represents like a reference in the Olympic games,
the sovietics have around one thousand medals in total. The others following four countries are in
the 500 – 1000 gap in the total number of medals. Besides Sweden, Australia, Hungary and east
Germany have a little bit more quantity of medals in comparison with Japan and China,

To summarise, we notice that from these twelve countries the first place is for the only American
country and the last place for one of the two Asian countries, Eventhough the others countries are
from Europe.

First of all I must say that I worked as a manager in a school. In order to be objective, I would say
that people who think children do not need homework to take at home, well I understand their
position because the children must not feel overwhelmed when they arrive home, but then
again, I also know the children need to practice at home to refresh the knowledge they just
acquired during the day.

In my point of view, the institution and the educators must be in a middle point about this hot
topic. Some of the courses need to practise but also need to be addressed by a tutor or in this
case by the professor and some others courses do not need to practice, however those courses
need to do some research, therefore I dare to say that the homework must be such as the
children were doing research, it does not take too long and they learn easily.

For instance, in science course the teacher gives some questions about the earth rotation to do
it at home or teacher may ask for an essay of 400 words about a current theme in our society.

To have an example for the courses need to be practiced at school, I could say the maths
courses, the educators have to set the class in order to have two parts the theory part and the
practice part.

For my this will be the best way to give the children tools to increase their knowledge and the
power to manage their time without make them feel stressed or anxious.
