Lecture: C Sibanda
1 List four communicable attributes of God
• Goodness
• Hate/ love
• Justice
• Knowledge

2.Explain intransitive and immanent qualities of God

• The immanent intransitive abilities remain within God’s own nature. An
example of this is spirituality. These qualities do not merely describe Him for he can
never be unglued from them. The eminent/transitive qualities go out from and operate
outside of the nature of God. These qualities affect His creation such as mercy, grace
and judgment, which of course requires an object.

3Identify 3 moral attributes of God

• Holiness
• Righteousness
• Justice.

4 Explain timelessness according to Millard Erickson

• Millard Erickson suggest that God exists, but does not exist at any temporal
location and also that God is beyond time. God is said not exist at any time but exists at
eternity and that eternity can be seen as a non-temporal position at any point within time
is a temporal position.

5 In a paragraph, critique timelessness.

• To claim that God is timeless is denying that God is temporal. It suggest that
God exists, but does not exist at any temporal location and also that God is beyond time.
God is said not exist at any time but exists at eternity and that eternity can be seen as a
non-temporal position at any point within time is a temporal position. it also suggests
that God does not experience temporal succession which in other words simply means
that God’s relation to each event in a temporal sequence is the same as his relation to
any other event. For example God cannot experience the other century before the other.
Or any event before the other
