New Family Feeling bodywork

• The new styling of the IRON 210 bodywork derives


from the Agrotron S-Matic, and reflects the Family
Feeling characteristic of SDF brands.
• New elements include a rear piece enabling
adaptation to the cab, given the different length of
the machine, and a bottom piece for adaptation to
the front end frame.
• New fixed side panels will be specially designed,
using the grille and carryover parts of the S-Matic
hood.

Under hood upgrade - New exhaust system

• Some redesigning work on the forward part of the engine


compartment is necessary in order to accommodate the
opening movement of the one-piece hood.
• Modification of the rear underframe supporting the hood
will allow adaptation to the type of hinge mechanism
adopted.
• The condenser and relative dehydration filter will be as
on the M650.
• The adoption of a new vertical exhaust system derived
from the Agrotron M series brings the advantages of
removing the silencer from under the hood, creating
more room and lowering the temperature.

New cab suspension


Salient features

• Using the cab suspension system derived from


Agrotron M650 machines, levels of efficiency and
comfort in the cab are much improved, especially
during the course of shuttle manoeuvres.
• Changes are required to the front and rear mounts
to enable adaptation of the front Silent-blocks and
the rear spring damper system to the height and
position of the cab and of the IRON 210 chassis.

Cab modifications
The main modifications to the cab electrical/electronics layout are:

• Adoption of two Bosch HLHP control units.


• Transmission control (Power Shuttle, Powershift, Ranges, Automatic
Powershift).
• Control of services (lift, PTO, axle suspension, spool valves, 4WD,
Differential, S.B.A.).
• Reorganization of cab wiring with replacement of bulkhead connectors.

Manufacturing process:
• Upgrade of cab test bench
• Two Bosch control units programmed in line

Hydraulic power shuttle


The vehicle will have a hydraulic reverse shuttle with two
proportional solenoid valves
Main advantages:

• Benefits of the power shuttle:


- quicker shuttle manoeuvres
- selection on-the-go, at speeds up to 13 km/h
- low effort, high comfort

• Implementation of optimized standing start/shuttle logic sequences


for different operating conditions

• Integration with EPB system for standing starts on gradients

Operation of parking brake

• Apply
To apply the parking brake, the operator must:
- Stop the vehicle
- Select NEUTRAL
- Depress the armrest button fully for 0.5 seconds

• Release
To release the parking brake, the operator must:
- Sit on the driver seat
- Press both brake pedals simultaneously
- Depress the armrest button fully for 0.1 seconds
- Release the button

Emergency braking

• Partial apply

• The Electronic Parking Brake can be used at any given moment as an


emergency brake (in the event of service brakes failure).

• The brake is applied in emergency situations by pulling the lever upwards.


In this instance, the braking force applied by the EPB is proportional to the
position of the lever.
