“People measure success by their wealth, the power they’ve attained, or the

status they’ve achieved. Yet, even though they’ve reached success beyond their wildest

dreams, they still have an empty feeling. Something is missing from their life. Vision.

Contentment. Purpose. Philosophy.”

Every person has a different philosophy in life. A person's philosophy will vary

depending on one's life experience. I believe that no two people will have seen life in the

same way. Many people have similar philosophies on life, but none of them would be

precisely the same. I will share my ideas and thoughts on what is my philosophy of life.

The way I have experienced life has made me change my way of thinking more than

once. I am sure, it will change again.

My philosophy on life is that you should live while you are alive, and you should

give others that same privilege. We shouldn’t judge people for the choices they make

because we all make bad decisions. It would be best if you did what you want with your

life, as long as it makes you happy and causes no harm to others. Happiness is all we

can hope for in this world, and we have to strive to achieve it. We should help people

when we can and graciously accept failures when we have to.

I have here my favorite quotation by Roy T. Benett in his book, The Light in the Heart.

“Don't Just.

Don't just learn, experience.

Don't just read, absorb.

Don't just change, transform.

Don't just relate, advocate.

Don't just promise, prove.

Don't just criticize, encourage.

Don't just think, ponder.

Don't just take, give.

Don't just see, feel.

Don’t just dream, do.

Don't just hear, listen.

Don't just talk, act.

Don't just tell, show.

Don't just exist, live.”

These made me realized that life is a process of self-realization. Your

consciousness is rising to a new level. Always do what makes you feel great. If you

don't do what you love, you should love what you do. If you fail to understand this,

then you are like a dog that chases every car. You'll eventually end up getting lost

somewhere. Another thing is that it is accessible to advise but difficult to follow. It

doesn't mean that you can't suggest someone an excellent way to do something,

but it should have a proper limit. It would be best if you put yourself into his feet,

empathy. Never judge yourself and others. Judging people is a strong foundation

for all miseries. If the foundation is strong, you'll eventually end up building

skyscrapers of problems.

Lastly, learn from your experiences. Always remember, the possibilities are

endless. Keep working towards your dream, and don't get worried about the way

life is moving. Life is a learning process. It would be best if you learned how to wait
and work while waiting. It's just either step forward to growth or backward to fear.

Growth means reaching out toward a valued higher destination, overcoming

obstacles on the way, and learning in the process. Learning is like rowing

upstream. If you stop, you go back because the flow of life never stops offering new

challenges, new opportunities. Conquer your fear, and take courage to fight and

live life.
