JBT FoodTech H1 Food Grade Air Line Oil

For use in Air System Components
• Outstanding Antiwear Protection
• Plant-Wide Performance
• FDA Food-Grade Compliant
• High Level Rust & Corrosion Protection
• Water Emulsification Additives
• Compatible Air System Components
• Includes Micronox® Technology
JBT FoodTech H1 Food Grade Air Line Oil is a food-grade air line oil
compounded to provide the best air line lubrication performance in all
areas requiring USDA H1 food-contact authorization. It contains a high
percentage of emulsifiers and rust inhibitors to provide trouble-free
operation of all air-operated equipment. The emulsifier additives pick up
moisture in the system and exhaust it, while the food-grade rust inhibitors
and antiwear additives protect the internal parts and air motors of the
lubricated equipment.

JBT FoodTech H1 Food Grade Air Line Oil is used on and protects Typical Property H1 Food Grade
components of all air-operated equipment used in a food-contact Air Line Oil
environment with state-of-the-art food-grade antiwear chemistry. These
include, but are not limited to, meat saws, knives, stunning guns, air tools Viscosity @ 100°C, cSt 4.39 ASTM 4.39

Section III. Hazards Identification

Emergency Overview Potential health risks vary from person to person. As a precaution, exposure to liquids, vapors, mists or fumes should be
minimized. In an accident involving high-pressure equipment, this product may be injected under the skin, resulting in a small,
sometimes bloodless puncture wound. Immediate treatment at a surgical emergency center is recommended.

Potential Health Effects:

Eye Contact May cause slight irritation and redness.

Skin Contact Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause mild irritation.

Ingestion While this product has a low degree of toxicity, ingestion of excessive quantities may cause irritation of the digestive tract.
Aspiration into lungs can cause pneumonitis, which can be fatal.

Inhalation Vapor pressure is low. Vapor inhalation under ambient temperature conditions is not normally a problem. May cause
respiratory irritation or other pulmonary effects following prolonged or repeated inhalation of oil mist at airborne levels above
the recommended oil mist exposure limit.

Section III. Hazards Identification (cont'd)

HMIS Code Health: 1 Fire: 1 Physical Hazard: 0

Section IV. First Aid Measures

Eye Contact Remove contact lenses, if wearing, and flush eyes with water. If irritation persists, consult a physician.

Skin Contact Remove clothing and shoes, if contaminated. Wash skin with soap and water. Wash or clean contaminated clothing before
reuse and discard oil-soaked shoes. If irritation persists, consult a physician. If high pressure forces the product under the
skin, get immediate medical attention!

Ingestion If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. As a precaution, give the person a glass of water to drink and seek medical attention.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Consult a physician.

Inhalation If exposed to excessive levels of material in the air, move the exposed person to fresh air. Seek medical attention if coughing or
respiratory discomfort occurs.

Products of Combustion Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, smoke and irritating vapors are products of incomplete combustion.

Fire Fighting Media Dry chemical, alcohol foam, and carbon dioxide type extinguishing agents may all be suitable for extinguishing fires involving
and Instructions this type of product, depending on the size or potential size of fire and circumstances related to the situation. Plan fire
protection and response strategy through consultation with local fire protection authorities or appropriate specialists. The
following procedures for this type of product are based on the recommendations in the National Fire Protection Association's
Fire Protection Guide on Hazardous Materials. Use water to keep fire-exposed containers cool. If a leak or spill has not ignited,
use water spray to disperse the vapors and to provide protection for men attempting to stop a leak. Water spray may be used
to flush spills away from explosives. Firefighters should wear full protective gear, including helmet. Use supplied-air breathing
equipment for enclosed or confined spaces or as otherwise needed.

Special Remarks - For fires involving this material, do not enter any enclosed or confined fire space without proper protective equipment, including
Fire and Explosion self-contained breathing apparatus. Leaks/ruptures in high-pressure systems using materials of this type can create a fire
Hazards hazard when in the vicinity of ignition sources (open flame, pilot lights, sparks or electric arcs).

Section VI. Accidental Release Measures

Release or Spill Recover free product. Add sand, earth, or other suitable absorbent material to the spill area. Minimize breathing vapors.
Minimize skin contact. Open all windows and doors. Keep product out of sewers and watercourses by diking or impounding.
Advise authorities if the product has entered or may enter sewers, watercourse, or extensive land areas.

Environmental Impact Report spills as required to the appropriate authorities. U.S Coast Guard Regulations require immediate reporting of spills that
could reach any waterway including intermittent dry creeks. Report spill to the Coast Guard toll-free number 800-424-8802.

Section VII. Handling and Storage

Storage Do not use in high-pressure systems in the vicinity of flames, sparks, and hot surfaces. Keep container closed. Store in a
cool, dry place. Do not store near heat, sparks, open flame, pilot lights, static electricity, or where temperature may exceed
120°F (49°C).

Handling Container is not designed to contain pressure. Do not use pressure to empty container or it may rupture with explosive force.
"Empty" containers retain product residue and can be dangerous. Do not pressurize, cut, weld, braze, solder, drill, grind, or
expose such containers to heat, flame, sparks, static electricity, or other sources of ignition as they may explode and can cause
injury or death. Empty container should be promptly returned to a drum reconditioner. Electrically bond and ground all
containers and equipment.

Ventilation Use in a well-ventilated area. See Engineering Controls.

Protective Gloves Wear lined non-permeable rubber gloves.

Eye Protection Chemical splash goggles or face shield in compliance with OSHA regulations are advised when eye contact may occur.

Personal Hygiene Wash skin thoroughly after contact, before breaks and meals and at end of work period. Product is readily removed from skin
by waterless hand cleaners followed by washing thoroughly with soap and water.

Engineering Controls If user operations generate an oil mist, use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to
keep airborne levels below the recommended oil mist exposure limits.
