Shop, Donate, or Volunteer and Contribute to HouSalvage!

HouSalvage Recycling Centers operate as a fundraising source enterprise for Building with Heart. Each
HouSalvage location is both serves as a salvage facility and storefront. Volunteers clean up, sort, and price
construction materials left over from Building with Heart construction projects and donated by companies and
individuals. This operation not only helps to raise funds for Building with Heart projects, but it also helps to keep
home improvement waste out of landfills.

HouSalvage provides a great huge selection of home goods, building supplies, appliances, furniture, and many
other awesome one of a kind finds! HouSalvage stores are a haven for landlords, and interior decorators. You
never know what you will find. Our inventory changes daily, so stop by often. HouSalvage helps you save money
and find things you cannot find anywhere else. And when you buy from HouSalvage, you will be contributing to
the Build with Heart program. Check out our newest HouSalvage store is located at 349 Main Street in Greene
City. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Come and see our great new building and be prepared to find some great deals on building supplies, furniture,
and appliances.

Donate to HouSalvage

Donating to HouSalvage is easy, reliable, and is often tax-deductible. Contact us to schedule a free donation
pick-up today or drop off your donations at your nearby HouSalvage store. Below is a list of items we accept. If
you have any questions, please call our local HouSalvage center before dropping off any items not in the
following list making a delivery.
 Appliances: Items in good working condition, including range tops, ovens, range hoods, washers
and dryers, gas or electric water heaters, and refrigerators.
 Cabinets: Must have all doors, drawers, and matching hardware. No damage beyond simple
repair. May include individual cabinets or full sets.
 Doors: Must be free of rot and cracks, with all panes and seals intact.
 Flooring: New only, and minimum of 25 square feet. No asbestos.
 Furniture: Must be in good condition, with no broken or missing parts, no rips, tears, or visible
stains.
 Hardware: Hinges, lock sets, knobs, pulls, knockers, and cabinet hardware, in new or in useable
condition and free from rust. Complete sets only. Keys must be included.
 Lighting and Fans: Complete and in good working order with no frayed cords.
 Lumber: Free of rot and insects, water damage, bowing, splitting, nails, and screws.
 Paint: New and unopened, less than four years old.
 Plumbing: Complete, clean, and undamaged sinks, tubs, and toilets. New piping and fixtures.
 Windows: Must contain glass without cracks or chips. Must be able to open, if designed to do so.

Volunteer at HouSalvage

If you are looking for a great way to volunteer in your community, we are always looking for volunteers to
work at HouSalvage. There are always things to do such as unloading donations, organizing, cleaning, and
pricing items and helping customers on the sales floor. You will meet interesting and friendly people, get some
exercise, and help make your community a better place to live.
