GENERATION GAP

Difference of mental situation and lack of understanding among young and old people is
called the real generation gap and is very difficult to fill up unless they would not spent time
with each other and tries to accept each other as they are. Generation Gap can be viewed in
many terms related to their spoken language, style of clothing and fashion, their own views
and thoughts, values and morals etc. The main reason behind the generation gap is mainly
the lack of time for communication and understanding each other inside the family
members. Another reason of generation gap is the increased competition among people in
area of education and professional life, which makes people so involved in their own life thus
they don’t get time for their loved ones and just make their self, isolated world from others.

Technology in 21st century has been completely changed, compare to it was in 19 th and the
strength of understanding and grabbing this new technology is comparably easy for new
generation than older. Today’s kids are so smarter and forwarded that they automatically
learn to efficiently operate electronic gadgets faster than elders; in fact some time they
teach their elders to use and operate this new advance technology. The best way for people
to overcome generation gap among people of different age group is to spend their time with
each other and try to understand and appreciate others with their own views and morals.

SINGLE PARENT

A single parent family is a family living together in a home atmosphere where only one
parent is present with one or more children.

More and more children are growing up in single-parent families. Ideally, it is better for
children to live with their mom and dad happily married; however, children who grow up in
single-parent households can still be well- adjusted children, teenagers, and adults. Although
there are always exceptions to every rule, for the most part, children who grow up in single-
parent working households are more mature, realistic and independent.

First, in a single-parent working family, children tend to be more mature. The children are
more mature because they often have to be responsible for themselves.

Studies have shown that the children of these families are affected dramatically, both
negatively and positively. Women head the majority of single- parent families and as a
result, children experience many social problems from growing up without a father. Some of
these problems include lack of financial support, and various emotional problems. With the
mother or the father trying to balance their careers and raising a child, it can be hard for
them to continue to study or move up in their careers. In situations where the children are
old enough to work, children might start working in order to help their financial status and
this affects their time for school work

Spoiled children

Nowadays children tend to be less and less responsible than they used to be. The parenting
style under which they are now being raised and taken care of makes a child much more
overindulged than ever. That is, children are allowed to do whatever they want and given
everything they ask for without making any efforts, due to their making excessive demands.
In this way, they will not probably appreciate and value what they have been given in their
personal lives, as a result of having parents who have more lenient and less demanding
attitudes towards their children. What's more, children are no longer expected to take any
responsibility because it is parent who will immediately take the responsibility in behalf of
their children. Consequently, children will gradually be used to their parents' doing
everything for them. Therefore, children may end up being less self-sufficient, and lack self-
discipline in their lives.

NEGATIVE Effects of Spoiling Children

Irresponsibility

When children are spoiled, they often don't have to learn responsible behaviours.

Disrespect and Defiance

Disrespect and defiance are characteristic of spoiled children, who are likely to whine, beg,
ignore or manipulate to get their way.

Children who are spoiled can become overly dependent on their parents, which can cause
them to have trouble making themselves happy as adults.

Poor Relationship Skills

Because they have not learned that relationships involve both give and take, children who
are spoiled can have trouble making and keeping meaningful friendships.
