M.O.T & M.O.

S specification
Domain of usage: Mobile Oil Separator (M.O.S) is a device for eliminating acid, gas, water, sand from
crude oil and pumping it to the pipeline during the drilling, repairing, acidizing and testing of oil
wells for onshore fields.
Optimum M.O.S Capacity for Mobile unit: 3300 bbl /day and 500 bbl /day turn down. Physical
properties and chemical composition of reservoir fluids such as H2S, Max Existed. Water, CO2 play a
crucial role in all aspects of M.O.S designing.
Number of units: Due to the size of equipment's M.O.T system mounted on seven Trailers and M.O.S
system on three trailers.

Mobile Oil Separation (M.O.S)

1.Process Unit
This unit includes:
 Choke valve
 Decanter and Slurry Tank
 2 or 3-Phase Separator
 Injection system
 Oil transfer pump
The mixture of water, oil and gas out coming of the decanter, come to two or three-phase separator.
In this section , water , oil and gas are separated by using the internal components.
The water extracted , after leaving the separator is guided to the burn pit. Generated gases from the
top of the tank was removed and directed to the Vent Header.
The extracted oil from separator pumps to the downstream systems. The reciprocating pumps will
supply pressure of oil to 42 barg with the capacity of 3000 bbl./day
2.Utility unit
This unit provides compressed air used by instruments and electrical power of all unit and
includes.
 Air compressor
 Receiver tank
 Air dryer package , included :Filter ,Dryer
 Diesel generator
 Diesel pump
 Gas oil storage tank
 Control panel

3.Control Cabin
A control package is installed on a unit as control room for systematic control of oil treatment
operation .
This unit includes PLC controllers, Battery chargers and panels.
All instrument equipment's in units are connected to control system via connecting cables.

4.Portal Cabin
This cabin is designed for accommodation of operators includes
 Kitchen
 Welfare services
 Wash hand basin
 W.C & bathroom
MOBILE OIL TREATER (M.O.T)

1. Process 1 unit (separation)

 Choke valve
 Decanter and Slurry Tank
 3-Phase Separator
 Desiter and Slurry Tank
This first stage of treatment of oil processing is reduction of pressure and flow controlling of the
extracted oil, in Choke valve. There are different instruments in this line to control the temperature,
pressure. The end of the line is attached to the On/Off valve.
After the oil pressure reduction , the oil mixture with water and sand comes to the Demander.
Technology of demander is based on hydro cyclone.
In the Demander, according to interior design, dimensions and also the circulation of the fluid , sand
particles are separated from the flow of oil and guided to a storage tank.
The mixture of water, oil and gas out coming of the demander, come to three phase separator. In this
section, water, oil and gas are separated by using the internal components.
The water extracted, after leaving the separator is guided to the Bum pit. Generated gases from the
top of the tank was removed and directed to the Vent Header.
Oil output in order to separate the sediment particles enters the separator system components
sedimentary “Desilter” is .
Mechanical Dehydrator Benefits:
 Fully automatic operation possible
 High operational safety
 Little space required due to compact design
 Residual water content down to less than 0.1%
 Low operating costs
 No chemicals consumption
 No power consumption
 Low maintenance requirement
 Service-friendly and easy to use
2. Dehydrator unit
This unit includes dehydrator and uses mechanical method for separation of aqueous phase from
different types, of crude oils.
This unit can be adapted to different areas of application and requirements by combining individual
separation elements. This separation is achieved in three different parts.
1st stage:
The Multi-phase are separated in the first stage and the oil is passes through the MP profiles. The
oil is swirled onto the MPS profiles and the small water droplets merge to from larger droplets.
These are bounded by the gravitational and adhesion forces of the profiles and directed downward
into the water collecting area in vessel.
Different types of internals are used in this section. The MPS profiles are designed of hydrophobic
materials and depending on the degree of separation and allowable pressure drop, the type differs.
2st stage:
The fine water droplets are separated in the second stage. The oil flows through a micro fiber bed
where small water droplets merge to from large drops area which flow downwards into the water
collecting area.
3st stage:
In special applications, the third stage separation is applied. The membrane material reduce the
water content and clen oil in resulted at the end.
3.Process 2unit(piping)
This unit includes:
 Surge Drum
 Oil Transfer Pumps
The oil extracted from dehydrator, come into the surge drum tank . In this stage , all remained
gas separates and the oil pumps to the downstream systems.

4.Injection unit
This unit includes:
 Corrosion inhibitor package(tank and injection pumps)
 Demolsifire package (tank and injection pump)
 Caustic soda package (tank and injection pumps)
 Xylene package (tank and injection pumps)
 Nitrogen package
