Explain the following statement,” Without EI outstanding training, highly


analytical mind, long term vision, terrific ideas will not make a leader”. 5
b. What is moral leadership?

It is said that the leaders are not born, they are made. A leader is made by the influence of his/her
surroundings, interpersonal skill, leading capacity and so many other issues. But it is undeniable
that without EI outstanding training, highly analytical mind, long term vision, terrific ideas will
not make a leader.
In this world of huge populations, leaders are very few and they are short listed because they have
some characteristics that is not common to general people. They are leaders because they are
unique in thinking, unique in taking right decision form many options and exceptionally confident
in leading people.
Leaders focus on present condition considering long term vision to succeed and that succession is
attained due to the intelligence and analytical ability of any situation to take the right decision of
the personnel. Leadership is all about guiding people with a targeted aim and that is not possible
to achieve without having these skills which an ordinary people will not hold.

Moral leadership is a type of leadership which means providing morals or meaning for people to
live by, encouragement to act and incentive to hold oneself responsible. As, the leadership is
responsibility and someone must be responsible for being a moral leader and must have proper
ethics to lead a set of people.
A moral leader first identifies and fix a set of values and continuously manage his/her ego
considering diverse group of people to work with him/her and respect the views of the others and
build unity which helps to gain greater success.
Moral leaders don’t think about themselves and believes that leadership is all about serving and
helping others to gain their goals. They identity a set of values to manage individual’s ego, consider
diverse groups of people and create different opportunity based on the existing skills of the people,
and include their views, embrace change, shape consensus, and create unity.
As a final point, a leadership will be considered as moral leadership if some of the characteristics
like justice, respecting others, honesty, humane, focus on teambuilding, value driven decision-
making, encourages initiative, values awareness, no tolerance for ethical violations etc. are found.
Having these characteristics, a leadership will be considered as the moral leadership.
