Healing Powers of Ayurveda

Deep rooted in the Indian history and culture, Ayurveda is a worldwide renounced medical system typically
based on complex herbal compounds, minerals, and metal substances that originates mostly from plant based
sources. Ayurveda is heavily applied in countries such as India and Nepal, where around 80% of the
population have used it in their lifetimes. Other than medicinal outputs, several therapies have also been
associated with Ayurveda such as, special diets(plant based and fasting), meditation, yoga, massage,
laxatives, enemas, and medical oils(cannabis, argon, neem, etc.). Several rural and tribal areas in India use
the medical practice of Ayurveda till date and rely on this science more than the pharmaceuticals available in
the market. Many sciences and natural phenomenon in India have been associated with supernatural powers
and Aayurveda is no exception. Dhanvantari, an avatar of Vishnu, is the Hindu god associated with Ayurveda.
