Homework 22nd October 2020

Over the past three weeks we have been writing sentences about our new story
Lost in the Toy Museum. We discussed what happened in the beginning, middle
and end of the story and used openers and connectives to make our sentences
more exciting. Please ask your child to use the ‘Think it, Say it. Write it’
strategy to think of a sentence for each part of the story. Don’t forget to use
a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop in your sentences. Please write
your sentences on lined paper or print out this PDF and write on this. Please
don’t type onto this document as we want you to practise your writing.

Some vocabulary the children may use:

One night, surprise, cheeky toys, Mr Bunting, note, alone, because, but
In Maths we have been learning to subtract by making our own subtraction
stories. Please ask your child to complete the activity below and then create
their own subtraction story.
