International Admissions Process (Undergraduate)

1. Complete an Online Application Form


Applications to undergraduate programs are accepted for the Spring, Summer and Fall
semester. Here is the link to the online application form.

Important pointers to remember when submitting an application:


1. Plan ahead - make sure that you have plenty of time to get accepted and apply for the
required visa documents
2. If you have any questions or need help with your application, do not hesitate to ask
your counselor - Schedule a virtual meeting HERE. Alternatively, you may email
marly.frayna@nyack.edu, to confirm a time that works best for you.

2. Submit Required Documents

2. Foreign college transcripts must be evaluated by either Globe Language Services
or WES
3. Pastoral Reference
4. English Pro ciency Requirement (TOEFL Internet—70; IELTS--6.0, DET- 95)
5. Immunization Form
6. FERPA Form

3. Acceptance Letter and Tuition Fee Package

Once the admissions requirements are met, applicants go through an interview


process - This is a quick conversation (15-20 minutes) with your counselor, to get to
know you a little better and answer any question you may have about becoming an
international student at Nyack College.

A decision letter and a financial package will be sent (reflecting the executive or
international student grant), within 24-48 hours after the interview process.

4. Submit Form I-20 Requirements

3. Affidavit of Financial Support or Self Support (Must be Notarized)
4. Affidavit of Room and Board
5. Transfer Certification Form (If transferring from another US institution)
6. Bank Statement or Bank Letter
7. Passport Information Page
8. Current US Visa (If applicable)
9. I-94 Record: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/recent-search (If applicable)
10. Current I-20 (If applicable)

Note: Incomplete forms will cause delays in your application - please make sure that the
forms are filled out completely and accurately.

5. Apply for an F-1 visa and schedule an


interview appointment
When you receive your I-20:
Please print your name and then sign your name on page one of the Form I-20.
Please be sure to take all original documents: acceptance letter, bank statements, etc.
when you present your endorsed Form I-20 to the U.S. Embassy.

6. Begin your studies at Nyack College!

If the I-20 is approved, the Embassy Official will issue you the U.S. F-1 Student Visa
(stamped into your passport).  The visa gives you permission to enter the United
States for the purpose stated on it (full-time student).  Please make sure that the
expiration date of the visa covers the time required to complete the degree program.

Let us know once you arrive in the US. Get in touch with your admissions counselor
and PDSO to make sure that your class enrollment is all set for the semester.
