Earth Day is a special day to learn about the environment and how to take care of it. Everybody should
try to protect the environment not only for ourselves but also for the next generations.
There are lots of things we can do in our home and our neighbourhood to help saving our earth, air and
water. We are producing too much waste and excessively using the world’s natural resources like oil,
coal and natural gas. These resources are non-renewable. When they are used up there would be no
more. Moreover, we are polluting the renewable resources like air and water.
The solution to this problem is very easy. We should practice the three Rs: Reduce, Reuse and recycle.
People should reduce their use of the non-renewable resources, reuse the things that can be used and
recycle the waste. We should also rely on the renewable resources like the sun, water and air to
produce energy. Finally, we should plant more and more trees.
