Core (inti bagunan)

Core systems are used in reinforced

concrete buildings.
This system consists of
a reinforced concrete core shear wall
resisting all the vertical and lateral loads

In core systems, floor slabs are

cantilevered from the core shear
wall independently
(Figure a ), or else cantilevered
modules of floor slabs are used
(Figure b ).

 Cantilever towers may be very slender
walls, hollow boxes, or solid columns.
Floors may also cantilever from the towers.
Cantilevers need large foundations to
resist overturn moments. Cantilever
systems of multiple towers may
have joint foundations that tie the towers
together for better stability.

Core systems are used in reinforced concrete buildings. This system
consists of a reinforced concrete core shear wall resisting all the
vertical and lateral loads

In core systems, floor slabs are cantilevered from the core shear wall
independently, or else cantilevered modules of floor slabs are used.

Core systems efficiently and economically provide sufficient stiffness

to resist wind and earthquake induced lateral loads in buildings of up
to about 20 storeys;

•  Core beton (shear wall atau bearing wall)
•  Core dari struktur baja (tube)
